Back to the Bad old Days in Coventry

I spent a year living in Canada and some time in Australia, both places where they drink a fair bit and I saw not a hint of trouble in either country so I would say you are right. It's something about Brits and alcohol.

Seems to be a lot of empty seats. Shows how well are fans do to get Wembley so full against the lesser nations. Keeping an eye out for CJ, expect he will be there in his Cov shirt with his face painted and a half and half scarf!

Well SISU did make a bid at the same value for Higgs 50% which would indicate they were interested however once again you are completely missing the point. Just for a second forget about SISU, forget how badly they have run the club and the damage they have done. Up until the point CCC and...

No idea but they have. I've tried asking them but the standard response is commercially confidential.

Could be, hard to tell with SISU if there's a genuine reason for things or it's just complete incompetence!

Lets get Arthur Daley in to run it. I don't know where to start with this. Lets try this, you have no idea if that business would be a success, if it was so easy to open a business and make a ton of money everyone would be rich. Lots more businesses fail than generate big money so there's a very...

Isn't this the sort of thing the SCG should be working on rather than bickering about the trust and articles Les Reid has written? Fishers at the meeting, not hard to ask him why its been left full of stock at Sixfields and not brought back to Ryton for use on match days.

I've got no evidence to back this up but it also seems that a lot more innocent bystanders are on the receiving end these days. Back in the day if you wanted trouble you got it, if you didn't there was little chance of being pulled into it (unless a mini-riot kicked off), these days you can...

Exactly, if people like italia are now saying that is the best we can do why are they not furious at the council? SISU have done many many terrible things and caused huge issues but CCC have killed off any hope things will ever improve to any great extent.

The higher the level the bigger the disadvantage. If other clubs are receiving 100p in every £ spent on a matchday and we are at best receiving 50p in the £ on some of the matchday revenue streams I don't understand how anyone can argue we are not at a disadvantage!

Here you go: Even that 'expert' the CT rolled out to try and show Fisher was mad to talk about a new stadium said we need to look to stadium ownership at Championship level. This is explained over and over again by various people on this forum, I don't understand why people can't grasp it...

Where do you think that is going to take us? All the available evidence would indicate we can not be completive above the level we are currently at. You plan seems to be just hope for a miracle, not sure that's what we can all rely on.

You could argue we have 'invested' millions into ACL via a vastly overpriced rent that was paid for several years. Your statement illustrates exactly the problem, you say we get "some access to matchday incomes" which is correct however all the clubs we are competing with are getting all the...

Whilst we maintain large crowds for the division promotion to the Championship should be possible however it is not possible for us to be competitive in the Championship so the best we can hope for is occasional seasons struggling in that division prior to the inevitable relegation back to...

Yes, it has been explained over and over again. Every club gets matchday and non-matchday revenue apart from us (Stockport I think are the only team in a similar situation to us), of course not all grounds have the potential to make as much as the Ricoh as the Ricoh has excellent facilities for...

Even if they gave us every penny the club generated, i.e.: all matchday revenues, share of naming rights etc, we would still be behind other clubs.

If it was me I'd have at least 2 of these out on match days: If there's nowhere to keep them at the Ricoh (surely if one of the halls wasn't in use between matches Wasps would let them use it as storage without charge?) then just tow them back to Ryton between games. Added advantage that...

Is policing, or lack of, causing an issue? Reading about the recent issues at Carters the manager there said they could see trouble was brewing and called the police but they didn't turn up.
