More false Coventry council claims exposed over Ricoh Wasps deal-Les Reid

It will be interesting, in a car crash kind of way, to see how this all pans out. It's been questioned a few times on here in the past why people like Reid, Garlick etc have 'sided' with SISU after meeting with them, could it be we're starting to see why?

More false Coventry council claims exposed over Ricoh Wasps deal-Les Reid

It shouldn't take too long to find out if Lucas was fed false information by council officers working for ACL. That would be a very serious matter so I expect in the next day or two we will be seeing reports that they have been suspended pending disciplinary action. If they have done as she says...

More false Coventry council claims exposed over Ricoh Wasps deal-Les Reid

That would depend on the detail of the deal but in essence if Lucas is saying SISU showed no interest in a lease yet there is a letter saying the opposite it doesn't' look too good for her does it? You would also need to look at the contracts ACL have in place. Would it be safe to assume that...

    Sisu refused permission to appeal...

From what I can make out they've been had the first application, which is made in writing, turned down. They can now go and make an application in person, basically argue their case.

In which case we will probably end up with a second JR.

The biggest benefit might be if they win and get a pay off they'll bugger off!

    Sisu refused permission to appeal...

If I was in SISU's position I would be looking at: 1) getting the loan overturned, if it's ruled the loan should never have been made CCC may be forced to request repayment. Wasps, as a company losing £3m a year, will then need a loan to pay off a recalled debt for ACL, a company losing £.5m a...

    Sisu refused permission to appeal...

If YB has no worries about ACL meeting it's obligations why was the new loan even needed? It was supposed to be as there was a concern the loan would be called in as YB were getting worried about ACL's ability to pay, which seemed to coincide with a senior member of staff moving from one...

    Sisu refused permission to appeal...

Some people have suggested that the loan to a Wasps owned ACL isn't the same loan, certainly the terms have changed. Of course as they have nothing to hide CCC have refused to state if is the same loan or a new one. There could also be an arguement made that at the point CCC loaned the money to...

    Sisu refused permission to appeal...

In a nutshell Fisher had been saying for a long time that ACL was reliant on CCFC and therefore any purchase price for ACL would need to reflect that, SISU felt ACL was being overvalued on a false pretence. CCC & Higgs repeatedly stated this was untrue including statements that ACL was making...

    Sisu refused permission to appeal...

When the JR was held and it was claimed that ACL could have got a loan from a private lender instead was any evidence actually produced to back this up? Did they have an offer or anything from a lender to prove their argument or are we just taking the councils word for it?

    Sisu refused permission to appeal...

Well that would be for SISU and their lawyers to come up with, not sure I want to give them ideas! Off the top of my head lets say back at the end of 2011 when Fisher came in and started banging on about the rent being too high and CCFC propping up he had planned to make a bid for ACL with the...

What Other Team Could You Support ?

When I was going to Cambridge games in the mid-90s they were at the same level we are now but that had spent most of the FL life bouncing around what is now L1 and L2. A lot of their supporters also supported a PL team, mainly Arsenal and Tottenham as they were easy to get to. Nobody thought it...

    Sisu refused permission to appeal...

What are we to believe now when we're looking back at statements from Fisher and even Labovich and they seem to have at least some truth in them! Hard now to know which statements from either side we can take as true. Of course some people don't want to see it and still want to think SISU = bad...

    Sisu refused permission to appeal...

So what is shmmee referring to then? If he's not talking about the JR what else has been proven? SISU's original argument? That was the rent was too high and ACL were totally reliant on us being there paying rent. We've always known the first one to be true, in the last few days we've learnt...

Assuming you are referring to the JR would the councils case for that not have been prepared using the information they held at the time. Information Lucas is now saying is incorrect. If she's claiming she hasn't lied as the council were given false information by ACL surely that raises questions?4

    Court Cases = Player Sales

Clubs at our level often get charged a loan fee by the lending club. As everything is undisclosed all the time it's hard to tell but just because they are loans it doesn't automatically follow no fee has been paid.

    Court Cases = Player Sales

According to the chap that Fisher spoke to yesterday that money has been used to fund the loans we have had this season.

Suspect so, even if the same company can't launch action I believe anyone can apply for a JR so one of their many other companies could do it.

More false Coventry council claims exposed over Ricoh Wasps deal-Les Reid

Obviously the reversal of the sale though court action is highly unlikely if not impossible but what if CCC are ordered to call in the loan. We're told a commercial lender would give a loan but would they really loan a loss making company millions to pay off debts of another loss making company...
