Just one point to add. Booing players taking the knee makes taking the knee relevant. If you don’t want to see them doing it not booing them is the quickest way to make it stop. Have a think to yourself about that for a moment if you’re considering it.

If you really do believe that taking the knee is political that’s your prerogative. Just make sure you’re on the right side of the political divide. ie the one that doesn’t side with racism. In other words if you can’t support taking the knee don’t boo it.

If this isn’t reason enough to not boo taking the knee then I would politely suggest that you need to go and have a long think to yourself about your life, what’s missing in it and why you think booing something as simple gesture against racism is going to fill that void...

What I’m saying is that the government has the golden opportunity to level up as per Boris’ keynotes levelling up speech and they’re choosing not to. Why should anyone believe anything else in that speech?
