When Stevenson first broke into the team I thought he looked a really good player, spraying passes and an eye for goal too. He was injured for a while and never really got his early form back. Hard to understand how he could fade so badly.

You need to look at how Max started that season and how he finished it. His improvement was tremendous. If you consider his performances after the Newport game when he regained his place from JCH his impact on the team and results was tremendous.

He scored nine that season and played no where near 40 lots of 90 minutes.
