This narrative made little sense last year & even less so now. He's played more games in the Championship alone than he ever played at U23 level.
He was also playing in League 2 at 20 years old.

It was as clear a red card as you'll see, left the floor tackled with both feet. Ref had the red card out before Howe or anyone else could even ask for it.
Bigi may not have been a nasty player but he did have a habit for mistimed tackles like that.

He has been doing it all season. His numbers for winning the ball back & progressing it are exceptional, literally among the best in the league. I've always maintained people just didn't understand the type of player he is.
Assists are a pretty meaningless stat in truth & when you take set pieces you will always get more than anyone else.
I love Hamer to bits but just pointed out that he's had a poorer game than the likes of Bidwell & Sheaf who were unfairly getting pelters.
