    Blues Game

What is the incentive to travel to away games if I can watch it at home for £10. My day out in Doncaster cost me about £40 in fuel and ticket, plus £3 for a cup of tea. I left at 11.30 got back at 7. Watching on TV is no where near as good as being there, but if you weigh up the options I think...
  2. Irish Sky Blue

    Strength in depth

He laid the ball off yesterday for Shipley’s goal, made another chance for him with a deft lay off in the first half. He won a fair amount in the air considering he was up against two giants. The only half chance I remember him having is the cross from Dabo which he flicks with the inside of his...

    Blues Game

12362 with the community game.11709 if you don’t count it. I would have thought that greater away followings was one of the perks of being in the Championship. It will be the same for all clubs.

    Mark Robins

No one would take anything away from Sillett or Hill but Robins should be given the credit he deserves. When JH took over he transformed the club but he did so with the backing of a hugely supportive and wealthy chairman. Robbins gave Hill £35k, a massive amount in the early sixties, to buy a...

    Mark Robins

We were in desperate straits when Robins took over the second time. I think the third game of his second stint was at home to Southend. We lost 2-0 and I have never witnessed such an abject performance before and that is saying something considering how bad we have been at times over the years...

    Blues Game

Last season we averaged 12k and prices were ‘normal’. The last season in the Championship, the average gate was over 15k. That was in a season, where by comment consent, performances were very poor. In a successful season, inevitably, average attendances rise. Why wouldn’t ours for this season?

    Blues Game

Why would it be double? (12k). We had that last season and were never in the top 6.

    23 games, sorry
  9. Irish Sky Blue

    Blues Game

Doesn’t add that much when the extra is divided by 26 games.
  10. Irish Sky Blue

    Blues Game

Our first season in this divisiontailed off when Robins left. Again, I don’t think we were ever in the PO places and there was certainly no sustained promotion push. When was there another League One season with promotion on the cards?
  11. Irish Sky Blue

    Blues Game

Why not more ST holders? No away support? Our potential fan base for a successful team is way above 16k.

One of the best loan players we ever had was Stephen Warnock. Another repeat loanee was Luke Steele.

    Disagree.

    Blues Game

Only the Mowbray season then and that for only half a season.we had gates over 16k in that part season. I’m pretty sure with a sustained promotion push gates would be well over 12k. We averaged that last season and were never once in the play off places.

How would that derail the promotion push? Like them or not they support the team and attend games. That presumably means that they would like us to win.

They used to be at away games all of the time. Can’t remember seeing either this season.

    Blues Game

Not unreasonable to think that attendances would have been pushing that given this season’s performances.

    Chants for the Brum game

I think there were about 50k at the Blues game (following on from the 50k at the Wolves game). As I remember it, there were thousands of City fans there. A lot of trouble too as there was not much segregation.

I don’t agree. I voted for the petition but that doesn’t mean to say that I now think Sisu are okay. They’re not. I wouldn’t trust them any more now than I would have done three years ago. The fact is that Wasps are in the stadium built for us (and they shouldn’t be). They are also stopping us...
