He was saying we weren't strong enough after initial headers had been won by their forwards. He accepted that they may well win the ball in the air, but said we needed to be much stronger and much better trying to win that second ball after the knock down.

It was. I loved it. He was venting his spleen, but well reasoned and said he was really really angry with the players.

I think Robins made a mistake in not playing Davies tonight. He would surely have made a better fist of handling Rhead. Just heard Robins on the radio. Glad he is so seething. It simply was amateurish.

Nailing my flag to the mast here. We are just not good enough. I still think we will make the playoffs, but we are going to need a hell of a lot of luck to get to the final. The defence has now become shocking, an accident waiting to happen. We are also being out-muscled by teams regularly...

You get the feeling that if we do make the playoffs we will just crumble and probably end up with a 2-7 aggregate score.

It's shambolic, it truly is. They are winning just about every header and then we are simply not strong enough on the second ball. This is why I wanted Davies in ahead of Rod. Much better in the air. Such a shame, cos some of our play has been very good.

Getting out muscled here around our own box and they are simply stronger. Rhead and Palmer are.winning so many headers too. City have looked the more threatening, but Lincoln have a simple plan and it's working like a charm.
