New stadium - Okay, let's just suppose for a moment

It's down to SISU to present an argument that a move is required. If they say this is what we're being offered at the Ricoh, this is the alternative with a new ground and it clearly shows the new ground is a better option (and their statements stand up to scrutiny) why wouldn't any fan back...

Another bumper Ricoh crowd expected for Wasps' home game against Sale Sharks

Why do they need to draft in extra staff when Ticketmaster sell their tickets? Has someone fired up the non-existent PR machine again? I'm surprised how much that's dropped to be honest, thought they'd be on for over 20K again with ease given the number of free tickets, BOGOF etc. Thought it...

    Coventry United

Calling yourself United and playing in red while claiming to be some sort of phoenix team doesn't really work. Think that's what put a lot of people off.

Believe so, I think they can refuse to respond if it is going to cost over a certain amount.

    Would You Still Go ?

If you look at the council document on the Ricoh (think it's the one that shows where all the funding came from), it states that the freehold is practically worthless at the start of the original lease but its value would increase as it neared the end of the lease. It's going to be a long time...

    Would You Still Go ?

We had 7 seasons at £1.2m and then add the £500K taken from the bond account, whatever it was the FL said we had to pay and then what we're paying from this season onwards. Got to be approaching £10m and nothing to show for it, Wasps pay just over half that and own the place for the next 250 years!

    Would You Still Go ?

There were alternative ways to do things that wouldn't have needed ACL to be created. It wasn't the original 'rescue' plan for CCC to retain freehold ownership and a management company to be put in place. Why didn't CCC just loan us £20m to give them back for the 50 year lease. We'd be paying...

    Would You Still Go ?

I didn't realise it was a choice between one or the other. Personally I'd rather we had an extra 15K at every game and got all the money they spent while attending.

    Would You Still Go ?

I think there's couple of things to consider. Firstly how much of their own money did CCC, or Higgs for that matter, actually put in. Seems a lot of it came from grants, Tesco's etc, it's not like CCC stumped up £120m to build the thing. Secondly at what point did ACL come into play. As I...

Where could a new stadium be?

Ignoring the major issue that its highly unlikely it will ever happen where could a new stadium be built? We've seen the Bermuda site mentioned, there was a Warwick Uni site mentioned a while back (not sure exactly where at the uni, sure someone will fill that in) and Brandon (which seems a non...

    Would You Still Go ?

No idea but at least we were getting it not someone else. I seem to recall OSB saying the F&B in the final season at HR was close to £1m. What benefit? I'll put it simply for you. If you pay £1.2m a year for 20 years, during which you receive all the income the stadium generates to contribute...

    Would You Still Go ?

If CCFC were essentially solely responsible for ensuring ACL could meet their financial commitments shouldn't they also have had some, if not all the benefit? If I build a block of 10 flats I don't charge the first person to move in 10 times the going rate for one flat just in case nobody else...

    Trust Letter

Didn't they at one point say that as a trust they can't spend what they collect in membership fees so there's no advantage to charging more?

    New FOIs. No contact.

Does anyone know exactly how FOI requests work, in particular: Does the response apply to the date the request was submitted or the date of the response? What happens if commercial confidentiality is involved, do they have to say it is commercial confidential, would that not give away that...

    Would You Still Go ?

Why obviously more for the Ricoh? At HR we got 365 access to all revenues generated by the stadium, at the Ricoh we got no revenues. Hardly comparable is it? Final years is the key bit there. As I recall the lease on HR increased the longer we stayed there as a penalty of sorts. As we ended up...

    Chesterfield match thread

On the bright side I got stuck in a big traffic jam on the M40 both going and coming back. Hopefully that will be what Wasps fans experience every game!

SISU out banners at the Ricoh......

The part about the fans is from people in my office and mates and they seem pretty much unanimous so are either very unrepresentative of the fan base or there is actually dissenting voices. A look at Pompey forums and the Portsmouth News comments section would indicate they are not the only...

    New FOIs. No contact.

The Telegraph and / or Trust should send a (polite!) open letter to SISU and request that an independent person be shown all the information on the new ground. They can sign confidentiality agreements and won't share any details but can simply report back if they believe anything is actually...

    Gary McSheff.......

Christie probably sums it up best. There was people on here saying he wouldn't even get another club let alone one at a higher level, now he's a regular for Derby (3rd in the Championship) and an international. Baker as well, not good enough for us, not good enough for this level, too...
