    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

I was late teens when that was on but still found it scarey. I haven't seen it since it was first screened but can remember the opening credits with people collapsing at airports etc. I'll have to look it up. Has it aged well?

    I loved that series.

So yes then. Just look and see. You know the sort of moany comments about Robins and some of the players that are there.

Just have a look at any match thread where we are not winning. (Lincoln match thread even though we won). Rochdale wasn't so bad but virtually any match thread before that game. Plenty of moans.

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Sunderland Match Thread - Sunday 1st Mar

Didn't Robins make a last ditch offer in the summer to get him to stay? That would suggest he was valued and would certainly have been in the squad and probably in the team. It was good to see a local boy in the team (played in the same school team as one of my sons) and that goal at Wembley...

There's a difference between swearing at a ref, which I think most of us do at some point during a game, and standing up and bellowing at the top of your voice, red faced and apoplectic with rage. Just to say that the idea of a discussion like this one is to put forward your own point of view...

Very happy that you are metrosexual. Not sure what it means however or what it has with has to do with blokes in their forties and fifties, who really should know better, getting to their feet at a football match to abuse another bloke who is only trying to do his job.

Ah yes, so to be a real man you have to swig back your 10 pints in the pub before coming to the game and showing your football expertise to a around you by bawling at a bloke who knows the laws of the game far better than you. What a man!

Moz Baker was at the game

For a guy with a degree you might have tried to edit the post so it was readable.

How many would we have got last night and Sunday at the ricoh

They've shown that they can cope and that they can win with some really poor pitches. The three mentioned are probably the worst, many others have hardly been pristine. Even the pitch at St Andrews has started to show signs of wear and tear. I think we have a team this year that will get results...

How many would we have got last night and Sunday at the ricoh

Judging by results on ploughed fields and difficult conditions at Tranmere, Southend and Rochdale it probably would still have been a top of the table game.

    Old Accounts Thread

It's interesting that you use the phrase 'people commenting on the game' to describe people who are usually ranting and raving a our Robins or certain players. But they're not moaning. Just commenting.

I disagree again on your first point. I’ve been going up the City since the sixties and the abuse that match officials and players get has got progressively worse in my opinion I don’t see how you can make such a distinction between officials at a Sunday League game and a professional match...

I agree with most of the stuff that you post but not on this. The shear level of anger at someone who is doing their job to the best of their ability (that ability may or may not be limited) and who is necessary for the thing we all love (the game) is way over the top and out of proportion. I’m...

It hasn’t always been that way. It has definitely got worse over the years. I’m pretty sure that referees and linesmen would hear plenty of the comments aimed at them just as someone like Shipley would hear some of the abuse he used to get. If players hear comments why wouldn’t officials...

I didn’t hear any threats myself, just responding to what another poster said that he had heard. Because it is football anything goes? As far as you are concerned any type of abuse or insult can be used? Remember this is a bloke that you don’t know, has not offended you personally in anyway but...
