Reading the article it appears not. It would seem that Lucas stated in the recent budget meeting that the loan to ACL did not impact on the ability of the council to use its reserves as the money for the loan had come from borrowing not council reserves. This contradicts what has been said...

What have legal proceedings got to do with anything, either it came from council reserves and Lucas has been 'misinformed' again or it came from borrowing. You couldn't get a much simpler question and they refuse to answer it!

I would doubt it is their plan but it would be foolish of anyone to assume they won't move in the future given how they have acted in the past. I see nothing to suggest that they wouldn't move should the move be to their advantage.

Didn't the plan rely on Wycombe groundsharing with them and the old ground being sold to fund the build even though Wycombe had no need for a bigger stadium?

Wasn't that at the point at which there was talk of their status being downgraded? You could look at it either way, you could take the opinion the club were held to ransom and had little choice to pay a bill that wasn't really their responsibility or that the club were stalling on paying a bill...

Wasn't the original dispute at the Higgs over maintenance? DIdn't the club get sent a bill when they thought it should be covered by rent?

I was talking more about when were paying £1.2m a year in rent and also maintaining the pitch yet receiving no remuneration when ACL hired it out for other uses. Happy to be corrected if that's not the case but I seem to recall a big song and dance being made by ACL when they took over the cost...

That is a problem if they're putting their own money in but if they are investing on behalf of the funds they manage it won't be an issue.

Are the rumours just based on the fact that a lot of contracts don't run past this summer?

Sad that he has to get a dig in at CCFC / SISU in a story that should be a good news piece about this chaps recovery and excellent work. How do you vote for him, went to the website and couldn't see an option to vote.

Lets assume Higgs have made zero allowance for this despite the pitch having a known lifespan. Including interest at 5% that equates to less than 2 hours hire per week. I would suggest that as the only such facility in the area if they can't achieve much more than that they should be looking at...

I get the impression a lot of people would be happy to see the club lose its academy status and flow of young talent into the first team just to give them another reason to complain about SISU. As with the sale of the Ricoh to Wasps people seem quite happy to ignore any potential long term...

Assuming they do hire the pitch out then over the life of the pitch it works out to £154 a week. Wonder what the hire charge is and how many bookings that would equate to. Quick google (Higgs don't list prices on their website) would suggest a going rate of £50 - £100 per hour.

So is this pitch for the exclusive use of CCFC academy?
