    Fisher on new stadium

Problem was CCC were claiming to be in a position of strength when they weren't. They were insistent that ACL was in great shape and was running at a profit and had no need for the club to be there as they would be profitable without us. Fisher said that wasn't correct and was ridiculed for...

    Fisher on new stadium

Where have you got those timescales from? For all we know Wasps could pack up and go in a couple of years if its clear the figures aren't stacking up. There's lots of scenarios. In some ways that could lead to a positive outcome for us, but the downside is it leaves us in limbo. Remember ACL...

Coventry City 'can't survive in League One' and have their priorities wrong

I'm not sure if I was after an expert Krasner would be the person I'd be talking to. He got Leeds relegated and very nearly took them completely out of existence! He says we shouldn't sell academy players yet sold all the decent Leeds players out from underneath Eddie Gray. Not to mention he...

    Fisher on new stadium

Indeed but we don't have a benefactor to build a new ground and to all intents and purposes write off the cost of it. If SISU do actually build a new ground they will want a return on that investment.

    Fisher on new stadium

Didn't Brighton have to play outside Brighton and then at that terrible athletics place for years until a rich benefactor came along and paid for a new ground to be built?

    Fisher on new stadium

You make it sound like people are making wild claims. The available evidence such as previous Wasps accounts, previous ACL accounts, availability of free tickets etc makes it highly unlikely they are now making a profit. That's not anyone saying they won't make a profit in the future just that...

Anyone go to the Wasps game today?

Think they use TicketMaster in which case that's going straight to them. The way it works is the ticket seller gets all the face value of the ticket and TM get the fees. If they wanted to have the tickets on there without any fees they'd get a nice bill from TM as someone has to pay them.

what can Mowbray change for tues ?

He's just been on SSN saying the two biggest problems are the lack of confidence and the state of the pitch.

    Papering the crowd?

Logon to the shop / ticketing on line, go to my account and then media preferences, sounds like you've not got a tick in the box to allow the club to email you.

    Papering the crowd?

Isn't this one of the games that was being pointed to as a huge game that would be a virtual sell out without the need for freebies? If anything the amount of free tickets is increasing. I can't believe this was Wasps plan starting out. Initially they only publicised free tickets for schools and...

    commentary on SBS& L group 2014 accounts

To me if the FL have said x amount of debt must be written off then they need to step in here and take a look at what happens as it's just been shifted elsewhere. Of course they might just have said the debt must not exist in a particular company which as we can see is not a lot of use to anyone.

    Byng the merciless speaks

You would have thought so but as with everything else CCC have refused to answer and said it's confidential. Didn't someone post that Wasps were after investors and had prospectuses circulating in the City (as in the financial part of London, not at our games!).

    Byng the merciless speaks

He keeps implying that Wasps haven't actually paid for ACL yet and don't have the funds in place to do so. No idea if there's the slightest bit of truth in that.

£61m of debt wiped out in latest CCFC accounts

Haven't the ticket prices for Wasps games also dropped from what was being charged at Wycombe? Free tickets is something you have to be careful with, of course it helps fill the ground but you have to take care not to devalue your product. People are getting used to not paying full price with...

Tim Fisher: Long term success on the pitch is what we are all striving to see

He's not wrong to be fair. Strong finish this season, few decent signings and a good start to the season and you'd soon start seeing people coming back. If, and it's a huge if going on recent years, we are in the top 6 this time next year I can see us hitting 15K or more.

Council Accused Of 'Absurd' Ricoh Secrecy

I think both the Council and Higgs were expecting, or hoping, for a administration process in line with that other clubs have been through which would have seen the club emerge with little to no debt and new owners. That didn't work out so well and we're left with another what if in terms of...

    Papering the crowd?

I would love for Wasps, and everyone else in any sport for that matter, to have to report attendances as actual attendance (not counting season ticket holders who haven't shown up), paid attendance and ticket revenue. Unless that ever happens it's always going to be an element of guesswork...

Council Accused Of 'Absurd' Ricoh Secrecy

Would have loved that to happen. At the very least how and when assets were moved around should have been looked at. And all that we don't know where the share is or which company the players are contracted to rubbish. Unfortunately I think that ship has sailed unless something happens late in...

£61m of debt wiped out in latest CCFC accounts

The huge problem we have is that in starting a new ground project we don't have an old ground to sell off to contribute towards the funding. And of course with the way the retail sector is getting a similar deal to the one we did with Tesco on the Arena 2000 project is near impossible. The only...
