Why Are We So Shit At Home?

It's something to consider although remember we only get access to the ground for a few hours before kick off so there are time limitations.

    No this isn't a joke

It really does seem that way. I get that SISU have been terrible for the club, to put it mildly, but people seem intent on twisting every little thing so it is entirely their fault while at the same time defending Wasps to the hilt. We've now had the club at the SCG and on twitter speak about...

Pubs Suggestions for game on 11th April

There's pubs on Foleshill Road, I normally park at the pub next to the fire station and wander up, you come out round the back of Tesco and can then either go through Tesco or along the canal. Don't go in the pubs as I'm always driving so no idea what they're like.

At a guess we rent the ground for a certain number of hours on matchday and can do what we like on the concourse so long as we setup and breakdown with the allotted time.

Not sure we'd sell much of our merchandise in the car park at Villa :D

    Alternative to a New Stadium

Not at all. However the way it is being talked about on here is why not just start up a business that can generate a large, presumably 7 figure, profit if only SISU could be bothered to start up some random business. Starting any business has risks and can be a potential black hole for money, if...

Coventry City FC hold stadium talks with Rugby Borough Council

The replica kit thing I can kind of understand. I suspect Puma print all clubs shirts at the same time and an order outside that timeframe comes with the same conditions as when you want a non-template kit i.e.: there is a relatively high minimum order. What I struggle to believe is that Puma...

    Alternative to a New Stadium

No there aren't, I would assume that is why CBRE have been involved as they are vastly experienced at that kind of project. You would struggle to find a company who would come in and manage starting a successful business for you while you take all the cash so it would mean employing more staff...

    Latest PSB bulletin

No problem with SISU being questioned. The problem is having multiple groups and individuals spending more time having a go at each other and claiming to represent fans than doing anything useful. They could have posted a polite, well written piece detailing questions for SISU instead they are...

    Latest PSB bulletin

Doesn't read like that to me, it reads as if they are presenting PSB as a fans representative group.

Would depend what % of the crowd go through Tesco and what the rent would be against what they pay now. Its an option certainly and maybe a suitable question to be raised at the SCG.

    Alternative to a New Stadium

You know things are desperate when we're rehashing ideas Bryan Richardson came up with! It sounds great as a post on a forum but what we're really saying is open a successful business, in an area no employee of the club has any expertise in, and make enough money to offset any negative impact...

    Latest PSB bulletin

Just what we need, more shit stirring. Had to laugh at this "A man who seems to think he speaks on behalf of Sky Blues fans despite having no such mandate." from a piece written by an annoymous group with no mandate from the fans!

    Samuel out for the season

Its never good news on a Thursday.

    No this isn't a joke

I enquired, and its not a definitive answer as you'd probably need to speak to Fisher not someone working a matchday, but I was told Wasps won't allow us a permanent retail space and want a big chunk of change for us to keep anything in storage up there.

    No this isn't a joke

Been like that since we've been back hasn't it? They've certainly been operating from a table whenever I've been there this season.

Back to the Bad old Days in Coventry

My regular Saturday run was starting at the Golden Cross and working down to spend the night in the Campbell. We're talking late 80s early 90s here and I can't remember there ever being much, if any, trouble.

Coventry City FC hold stadium talks with Rugby Borough Council

I would say anything from 60 acres down. When talking about 60 acres it involved retail and moving the academy and training facilities. I suspect there will still be a view to move the academy so as not to be reliant on Higgs however moving out of Ryton has most likely become less attractive...

    Rugby: Would you go?

Who's saying the club would own the stadium? Not even Fisher is saying that. It would be owned by a prop co and that is as it should be. They key would be the relationship between the prop co and the company that is he football club. We know staying at the Ricoh doesn't work if we want to play...

    Rugby: Would you go?

Is infrastructure that much of an issue? Look at some of the other grounds we can't to, they don't seem to have much infrastructure but manage to work around it. In an ideal world it would have a major road, thousands of parking spaces, constant flow of buses and trains but that's unlikely isn't it?
