Presidents statement: """"All Americans should be deeply troubled by the fatal shootings of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Philando Castile in Falcon Heights, Minnesota. We've seen such tragedies far too many times, and our hearts go out to the families and communities who've...

    Dallas / America in General

Uodate: they have a News special report happening right now trying to provide coverage and info. Shooter was a prior Army veteran, and who apparently said he was "upset" at White people and white police officers. I'm witholding my commentary at this time, hoepfully more info can be discovered...

    Away Kit Launch

Hey, real question here: I know people ask about why cant Nike provide a different/unique uniform. . . But isnt it actually more to do with what uniforms does the supplier (Just Sports group?) have available rather than Nike as a company deciding what to do? Honest question I promise...

    Dallas / America in General

I am English because I was born in England, to British parents and I still have UK citizenship instead of US. However, I grew up here in America for the last 32 years. It is incredibly easy to over-generalize about attitudes, laws, common practices, etc. when something is happening in "another...

PL U21 teams to play in the JPT

I like the overall idea about requiring more "home grown" English/British players. My only honest question (and not a dig at you or anyone simply an exploratory question), is are there any legal barriers to such a restriction? I mean, in regards to English/British vs. E.U. players (whom I...

    Copa Americano Centenario

Guzan just clotheslined an Argentinian, after he thought he got beat for a third goal (it was offside anyway, but no reason to stick the arm out like that)

Watching US v. Argentina (Spanish channel, of course) Currently 0-2, Messi just scored a gravity defying free kick, apparently he just became Argentina's all time leading goal scored (my Spanish is, not good, but "golaso historico" kept being quickly mentioned by the commentators) I recommend...

    Copa Americano Centenario

Chile 7 - Mexico 0. Jsut watched this game and it was a very lop sided affair. It was almost like the Mexican defense was challenging eachother to come up with the most bonehead or lazy defending possible, and Chile simply punished every single lapse. Lots of beer and cups thrown at players...

Despite ending 0-0, a very exciting game filled with sharp counter attacks. Penalty shoot out on going. Pressure is on!

    Orlando Shootings

Oh, also, just for clarification, most people here in US do not own a gun. The oajority that do own guns may have one or two strictly for hunting, and the rest have a hard on for owning many guns in "self defense" and liberty.

    Orlando Shootings

I agree in a very broad sense. One of the prevailing subjects of debate is the exact wording/phrasing of the U.S. constitution's 2nd Amendment --- "a well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed"...

    Orlando Shootings

"Guns rights" is a very powerful mentality over here in the U.S. The concept of gun ownership rights is a very normal expectation, and ensconced (rightly or wrongly interpreted, depending on point of view) in the U.S. constitution. Gun control legislation has been a battle for decades, there...

While this is certainly not a laughing situation by any means, I actually chuffed up my coffee laughing when I read this post.

    Euro Hooligans

I don't mean to sound flippant or ideal, but it seems pretty obvious to me that individuals could be identified through facial recognition software based on passport photos, etc. Anyone able to shine any light on what resources are available during these types of investigation to identify...

    Copa Americano Centenario

Brasil just needed to beat or draw Peru to advance. Despite Peru's questionable goal, Brasil failed to score their own needed goals. Play up Peru, always good to see shake ups in any tournament

WTF?! Even Less Chance Of Winning JPT

Any club organization should be willing to explain any votes or actions... regardless of which end they voted (unless abstaining was an option?), It's called Transparency. ?... I read about it in a book once

    Copa Americano Centenario

Peru have been giving Brasil a run so far this game. Peru's man essentially fore-armed a goal (which I couldnt even see at first), which was under debate by officials for about 4 minutes and allowed to stand, 80th minute 0-1 to Peru

I've been able to catch a few games, last night Messi came on as sub scored a beautiful free kick. I can only watch the games on the Spanish channels though (free; I dont have paid cable or satellite channels)
