Maddison out for a few months

Obviously its not good news him being out but lets face it he's had a couple of good games and wasn't expected to play every game this season. Not sure we can expect the wheels to completely fall off just because he's out for several months. Time now for someone else to step up. I'm sure if the...

    The Ashes

The argument, that seems to come mainly from the EU, is that competition is of benefit to the consumer but I don't really see that. Sky hasn't gone down as a result of losing the Champions League, in fact its gone up. It won't go down as a result of losing the Ashes. So if you're a football or...

More News On Ricoh Train Station

On the basis of this you're looking at close to 2.5K an hour capacity, admittedly that would be commuter level crowding with the carriages bursting at the seams but for a short trip that would be acceptable. Thats not too far short of 25% of our average attendance at present, I would suggest if...

True but I would suggest if you read that document you would have the impression that services would be increased not that the station would be closed on match days.

Wonder if Lucas will be as keen to take credit now as she was when work started on the station. From the Telegraph report at the time the work started:

More News On Ricoh Train Station

The lack of an increase from one train an hour was farcical to start off with but the ban on matchday use seems more to do with our old friends the Safety Advisory Group than the train operator, those sensible chaps that make away fans sit about 5 blocks away from home fans. Have a guess who...

Maddison out for a few months

He said he was going for a scan which would be ligaments wouldn't it? If he'd broken something it would have been an x-ray.

Maddison out for a few months

FFS we must be cursed. As soon as you think things are on the up something like this happens. Hopefully TM can either adapt the system so his absence isn't as much of an issue as it seemed to be on Saturday or bring someone in who can replace him.

    Ryton training ground upgrades

What was his reasoning behind that? Did he think other clubs were sending people down to spy on us in training?

    Ryton training ground upgrades

Don't think you've got much chance of the club showing before pictures, wouldn't want to embarrass themselves! That graffiti club crest you can see in the background would make a good t-shirt for the young-uns.

    Why I would sell Maddison

From the Telegraph earlier this month

    Why I would sell Maddison

If, as we are told, the club is running self sufficiently now then there is no need to sell players to cover costs. So the reasons to sell would be the player wanting to go, TM deciding he'd rather have the money to spend than the player or SISU wanting to take money out to pay a debt from the...

Rumour - Arsenal Interested in Maddison

Don't have a problem with clubs identifying potential talent early on and having input into their development, after all you would expect a professional club to have a better infrastructure, but it does seem some sort of regulation is need to make sure the youngsters are still enjoying their...

    Why I would sell Maddison

I think its too early to sell him, both for his career and for our benefit. We should certainly look to get him back if anyone who signs him then loans him out, make sure that's in the contract. Of course money comes into it, both from the clubs point of view and the players. Seems that Bigi is...

Rumour - Arsenal Interested in Maddison

Wouldn't think that is particularly uncommon. Player sponsorship will be tiered, there will be players who get boots at cost, players who get them free and players who get paid to wear them. I can't see that Nike are pushing for Arsenal to sign him to sell more boots!
