How much does it cost to rent a train or two?

I think its pretty simple. London Midland say that CCC were aware 5 years ago, CCC have been very quiet and haven't denied that. To me all CCC needed to do was say something like "The station will only be able to cope with low volume of traffic until the line is electrified which is not due to...

    Ticket Solution

The impression I get is that our current ticket system is an off the shelf package that runs on our own hardware located in the Citibase offices. Remember how when they first moved there the ticketing system was screwed and they blamed the speed of the internet connection there. That gives a...

Blog post about CCFC from a Luton fan

There's no doubting 34 years in the top division is a fantastic achievement but we're at a point now where a decent percentage of our fanbase weren't around then. In some ways its like a run of 9 draws, win the next game and you're unbeaten in 10 and pretty happy, lose and you haven't won in 10...

How much does it cost to rent a train or two?

Although the article that's from seems to be more about hiring a train to go from one end of the country so probably cheaper.

    Ticket Solution

Problem is the cost of access to that infrastructure. The club wanted to use the smart card system for season tickets this year but that hasn't happened so the chances of us being given access to the barcode system are slim.

    That train

London Midland's diesel depot is in Tysley. As weekends on most lines offer a reduced service at weekends there is diesel rolling stock stored there over the weekend. All it would need is that rolling stock to be moved over for use on the Coventry to Nuneaton line. That's not hard, the line...

Joining 'Greater Birmingham' would be good for the City, says Ann Lucas..

So it seems that while the public consultation is still taking place a combined authority board has already been assembled. It almost appears like they are going to do what they want no matter what is said in the consultation.

Pardon me boy....is that the councils empty choo choo

Same at Ajax, no problem getting the majority of the crowd onto public transport. Went to Metlife Stadium in New Jersey as well. Its well out in the sticks and holds over 80K yet no problem getting people to and from the stadium via train. We are so far behind in this country.

Pardon me boy....is that the councils empty choo choo

The Wasps chap who was on Midlands Today certainly didn't come across as someone who had known all along that there wouldn't be a decent service. While its annoying for us, and makes the city look ridiculous, most of our fans are local and used to getting there using other means. If, as seems...

This kind of thing is one of the most frustrating aspects of the rail network being broken up. You shouldn't have to have information like that to get the best price.

He's like a little kid on twitter. You either agree with him or you're against there being a train station at all. He can't seem to comprehend that people would actually like trains to stop at the station. If this was always the plan, that the grant money had to be spent by a certain time which...

People would use it if it was cost effective and reliable. When I worked a couple of months in Japan we went pretty much everywhere by train. It was cheap, clean and to the second onetime. Compare that to over here. For me to go from Portsmouth to Cov for a match, assuming its a Saturday and I...

If Wiki is to be believed London Midland have a sizable amount of diesel rolling stock. Given that the majority of matches are weekends and most lines operate a reduced service at weekends, meaning not all the rolling stock is being used, would it not be possible to divert some over here?

How is it utter tripe? You yourself stated: So CCC committed to spend public money to improve rail infrastructure based on a level of service they were told the train providers would give. That public money has now been spent and the service will not be provided. Only if you think the job of...
