    MP asks for CCFC intervention

They wanted WW to stump up for a new stadium they didn't really need that Wasps would also use.

    MP asks for CCFC intervention

No, it was a temporary location before they moved back to London. At least that's what their fans were constantly told.

    MP asks for CCFC intervention

Its still CCC until you get past the airport. You would have thought somebody, maybe someone doing some sort of Coventry Gateway project, would have thought about that. Can't possibly imagine the council would have applied pressure for it not to be in the submitted plans ;)

    MP asks for CCFC intervention

That's the problem, why are Wasps saying SISU dropping legal action against CCC is a requirement for talks to take place over a deal between CCFC and Wasps? And why did they start negotiations and then suddenly stop?

    MP asks for CCFC intervention

I can't imagine the FL ever saying to us, or any other club, you must accept this deal with a third party.

    Council helps football club

Let's be honest, at the moment there's not a lot of evidence to suggest the council would do anything to stop the club folding. They are currently refusing to assist the club unless SISU pay them in excess of £300K. They have blocked moves elsewhere, they have moved Wasps in and sold them the...

    Season tickets?

At least when you actually get your ST the seat exists!

    MP asks for CCFC intervention

Well if there was a deal in the works I assume there would be a paper trail. If there's anything in there relating to CCC applying pressure on the seller then that would surely be enough to satisfy the FL. Which ethical hearing did CCFC have the option to present evidence at?

Match Thread Norwich v Coventry Match Thread - Tuesday 23rd Aug

It would be typical of us to go and win a game like this. Can't score in the league, small squad so more games is a problem. Reckon we'll sneak it 1-0.

    MP asks for CCFC intervention

Thing is the FL won't really want to kick us out of the league so are likely to use their discretion again. It also depends on what evidence SISU put in front of them. According to Kieran Crowley (after he left the club so no reason for him to make it up, equally we have no way of verifying it)...

    RIP Labour

I found it quite incredible, even given the huge bias in the UK press, that after that debate the focus was on Corbyn not recognising a photo of Ant & Dec rather than Smith thinking we should talk with IS. Given the uproar they've tried to create about Corbyn being a 'terrorist sympathiser' you...

    MP asks for CCFC intervention

The having a move out the city blocked bit seems to have been added by the CT. The actual quote is Seems to me he wants someone to come in and get mediate. Certainly wouldn't do any harm. If, and lets hope it doesn't come to that, Wasps won't negotiate then there will be little choice but to...

    Twitter rumour

Don't believe its true but I think he would benefit massively from another season here. Think Norwich should have sorted that at the time of his signing. A player with 2 seasons under his belt (given how much of last season he left) would be a much better addition for them. Have they said why...

Arma to go out on loan

Not sure that would be a great move for him.

    Juggy.

This needs to be changed. Its stupid starting the season with so many teams still building their squads. Move the end of the transfer window to a month before the start of the season. That way everyone has their squad in place for pre-season.

    Council helps football club

According to KMPG at the time after they had looked into all the interested parties they established there were 7 serious bidders. Of the 7 only 3 have ever been publicly revealed. Of the interested parties SISU are the only one who remained after the potential owners had talks with the council...

    Council helps football club

You're missing a key point here. While we didn't go into administration at the time that was just a technically due to the fact that the debts where, in the main, to those connected to the club. To all intents and purposes we went through an administration process overseen by KMPG. They found...

    Council helps football club

Think you're missing the point here. Every other interested party identified it as an issue and walked when CCC made it clear they would not sell ACL. If CCC had been prepared to work with the club at that point we would not have had SISU as owners in the first place. If you look back with the...

    Olympics

The theory is that if we start doing that for the Olympics FIFA and UEFA will insist on us doing the same in other competitions so the Welsh, Scottish and NI associations won't allow their players to play as they know a combined national team would basically be English. I think most peoples...
