Agree on that. The point of going to live events is experience everything in the moment. That said, I do consume the content sometimes so where there’s a demand, there needs a supply.

Torp had a higher match rating than Grimes, Rudoni and Eccles too. Anyone singling out Torp is talking rubbish. He played well and don’t get where the negativity is coming from.

    Good on him! 😂

I quite like it when people randomly support our Cov, particularly abroad. There's plenty of clubs to choose across Europe and even England so why us!? His predications were bang on too, 2-1 and Haji to score!

He topped more defensive contributions than anyone else in our midfield. 2 interceptions, 8 recoveries compared to Grimes 1 and 4, Grimes didn’t register a single tackle and was dribbled past once. Lampard set him up between Grimes and Rudoni which resulted in that central player (Torp) being...

This is nonsense, Torp was our best midfielder on Saturday, defensively too. Our problems in the first half v Leicester stemmed from tactical decisions, not personnel. That was addressed, hence why the second half was better. A player like Onyeka would improve us because he’s better than what...

    Transfer Rumour Frank Onyeka

We’ve entered a new stage of squad building. Before, the priority was development players who will have 2-3 seasons to get us up to the Prem. Now, we need players who can make an impact right now and thinking ahead, players who give us a chance of staying up next season. King and Austin made...

Tactical issues and corrections vs Leicester

I seen this on IG with respect to the Manchester Derby. It summaries a how Leicester exploited our shape a little bit. We had a similar-ish diamond shape with the fullbacks so high, Torp behind Rudoni-Wright and Grimes either in line or slightly ahead of the CBs.

    Transfer Rumour Romain Esse

100% - it’s incredible output and if he keeps that up, will be a huge asset for the team. Sometimes tried a bit too much with flair touches and that annoyed people at times. You rightly identify an issue with Sakmoto, because he doesn’t actually take on defenders, if the WB overlap isn’t on or...

It wouldn’t count because it’s not a take on. EMC is on 29 and in the top 7% of dribblers in the league.

First half we got it completely wrong. We tried to win the ball high up the pitch and it failed and Leicester were able to bypass the midfield. 2nd half we tightened it up, Grimes and Torp actually played alongside one another and the issues corrected themselves. We looked comfortable in the...

    Transfer Rumour Romain Esse

When you play against the low block, you need wingers who can take on defenders. Esse had 5/6 successful dribbles v Leicester which is incredible output in 67 minutes. For context, Sakamoto has had 12 successful dribbles all season (i.e. took on a defender).

    Haji shite

A tap in is the ideal goal for a striker, being in the right position is a skill in itself that a lot of people overlook. I agree, it’s not clear Sakamoto’s shot goes in so why wouldn’t you want a striker to make sure?

It wasn’t clear, I meant signing Esse permanently.

    Kai Andrews

He could probably be a decent role player for a few bottom half championship teams. I was impressed with his performance v Stoke and there’s definitely talent there. The stakes are just too high for us to give him minutes. It’s £200m we stand to lose out on if we fail to get promoted.

Glasner is leaving at the end of the season, whether or not he gets sacked. I hope there’s a chance we can sign him.

    Transfer Rumour Obikwu to QPR

Next season, we should be in the Prem. Any young player we’re not confident can make that step up should be moved on.

He actually took on defenders too. 5/6 successful dribbles is great stat line and exactly what we need. I thought Sakamoto looked a lot better coming off the bench too.

Lati was our worst rated player yesterday. His passing at times put us under pressure and there was about 2 counter attacks caused from Lati alone.

Match Thread Coventry City - Millwall FC Match Thread - Tuesday 20th Jan

Back us to win this game, Millwall are in good form but we’re at home and this is the type of game that we need to win if we’re going to finish the job. The exact same applies to Oxford and Boro at home.
