SISU's investors are refusing to fund the club

As long as you don't go the Cov Mad headline route and split the post into seven different threads...

SISU's investors are refusing to fund the club

Should probably label the thread title accordingly, I read it and assumed some news had come in.

    France vs England

Chamberlain did very little against Belgium, so I don't think there's a particular outrage in leaving him out, even looking at who will play. £5 on both teams to score @2.2, monster monster

Hoffman... where the f**k are you ?

Until something more concrete regarding liquidation comes up I'm not massively worried about that to be honest (at least 90% of rumour about Cov comes to nothing, good and bad), I think people are fretting about a worst-case scenario. I'm still confident we'll be drawing 0-0 in those big glamour...

    Is it any wonder?

Woah, let's not do things we'll regret.

    Is it any wonder?

Aye. Kudos on the Blackadder reference also.

Hoffman... where the f**k are you ?

There's danger of some kind of turf war breaking out here, factions feuding and all that jazz. Roll on the actual football starting again.

Don, you've really got to drop this obsession with torchomatic and kduffy. It's getting uncomfortable to witness.

    Torch

If people are to be discredited because they don't know the exact facts about things they have no access to and/or can't accurately read the future, who's left here?

    Coventry Commentary

It's annoying as I've got the PC next to the radio so I could theoretically listen to CWR fine through the radio, but via the internet stream on a PC two feet away I get the copyright thing. As the reception for CWR where I am (or where I've put the radio) is terrible I'm stuck with Mercia...

    If we go under?

I don't really 'get' how administration and liquidation actually works from a business point of view, so I'm never entirely sure what's what with this kind of thing.

    Ireland vs Croatia

Great to hear all the Irish fans singing at the end, but that result had an air of inevitability. I had the profits from my earlier bet on both teams scoring (again) so it's not all bad news.

    Coventry Commentary

Is it the same for Mercia or whatever they're called now?

    If we go under?

I think that's the PLC rather than the club itself, it says the club was sold on and then the PLC was liquidated.

    out of interest

I can't see why the embargo being lifted itself would drag in the crowds. I mean the potential for signing new players should be enough, look at all the great signings last summer.

    If we go under?

Are you definite about Leeds? I can't find anything that confirms they were liquidated, although I'm not delving much further than Wikipedia which is hardly the font of accuracy. Have you got a link to anything?

    If we go under?

It's the part where he directly quoted and replied to the post as illustrated. We see valiant15 hypothesise our relegation to the fourth tier and subsequent rescue by rich Arabs from said division and the saucy ride to the top. kduffy asks when this has happened.
  18. ajsccfc

    If we go under?

Were Leeds actually liquidated? I thought they just came close without it actually happening, with the extra penalty being some kind of special punishment related to the process of administration.
  19. ajsccfc

    If we go under?

Nobody's trying to start any argument, you're far too defensive. The situation was put forward that we end up in League 2 and have rich Arabs bankroll us back to the top. kduffy asked when this has happened recently, you named teams for whom this hasn't actually happened. All I did was point...

    If we go under?

None of those were in the fourth tier of English football at the time (maybe Cardiff?), as is the scenario we're apparently looking at.
