Think Mowbray makes a good point. Was scoring for fun in the U18s but not so much in the U21s so why would he move straight into the first team. Also says he's been told he'd be likely to get a pre-season with the first team next year and if he impressed would stay in the squad.

I don't really see why people think it takes the piss out of the disabled. Derek is the 'hero' in the series so if anything it shows him in a great light.

The point being Reda's previous injuries were niggles that would see him unable to play a run of consecutive games. When Mowbray came in this changed and he was playing consistently until he suffered a more serious injury that has kept him out for months.
