Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

If we actually do want to “start quickly and maintain it all season” as people keep asking we’ll need a squad a similar size to the parachute clubs who manage that. I do wonder what Dougs internal wage cap is. We are some way behind on that even if “only” £40-50m off in squad value.

What the fuck are you on about? My “plan” is to raise taxes across a broad base and spend them now on improved social care. Sorry to say you didn’t come into my thinking once.

Is that “the real divide” outside of a few headbangy Americans?

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

First proper window I would be at all surprised to see 8-9 in. We brought 7 in last season and that was just adding finishing touches to a squad rebuild started the year before. If we are selling a couple of eight figure players then you take the chance to upgrade the squad when it comes really.

Yes. Assuming the taxes stay for twenty years. So bored of people pretending oh if we just sack a diversity officer on £19k a year we can afford the tens of billions we need to fix the system. We need to grow up and accept broad based tax rises if we want things like health and social care.

Prisons is one area you can’t just magically fix quickly. Fundamentally we haven’t built enough prison space for a decade or more and that takes years.

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Increasingly feels like MvE and Wright are on their way out this summer. That’s the model, you can’t get too attached, two years is about the most you can expect from quality at this level if you don’t go up. Id imagine Lampard wants money to spend to build the squad in his image. Just need...

    Callum Doyle

I think when you consider the context, Kitching arriving for big money and playing most of last season, the need to a left sided backup, a 22 year old who has fit in for under £2m is a reasonable shout IMO. He was never signed to be first choice. Doyle on loan would have pissed off your £4m CB...

£1.7m (I thought 1.3 my mistake), less than Bassette. https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/football/transfer-news/coventry-transfer-fee-luis-binks-29436470.amp

More respected by people like you who moan at him constantly over nothing? It’s not likely is it. I’m far more bothered by sponsors getting tickets and the like than the mayor of the city of one of the clubs playing FFS. There’s a British Asian mayor in our capital and he’s relatively popular...

The only space for them I see is a centre right party which doesn’t really exist and they don’t have the talent to pull off anyway. I’d expect to see the more headbanger types like Braverman defect and most of the rest of their seats go Lib Dem or Reform. Only five years ago people were talking...

I think the Tories are done. Which frankly is far more interesting as historically the most successful political party on the planet. Why go for Reform light when you’ve got Reform? Not sure what space they occupy. Funny that Brexit has killed them when it was supposed to save them. Badenoch is...

This happens once a cycle. People forget how betting markets work and that the current PM can’t be the next PM. I’d be seriously worried if I were Badenoch that her odds are the same as someone never likely to be PM.
