    Dare we mention that one of Hamas’ main backers is Russia? There’s the obvious benefit to Russia that this helps draw the Wests eye away from Ukraine. Russia has reportedly refused to condemn the attacks by Hamas on Israel.

    Unfortunately Gaza is the most densely populated place in the world. Not defending anyone here but it is impossible to launch a military operation in Gaza without it effecting/killing innocent civilians.

    They tried that. Israeli PM Rabin was assassinated by the far right in Israel for signing the Oslo accords that set Israel on a path to piece with Palestine. It was quite a moment in history seeing Rabin and Arafat shaking hands. It’s been downhill since then.

    They already have. Putin is on the record saying that he doesn’t believe Ukraine has the right to exist and Ukraine has said it will not stop fighting until all its sovereign land is returned to them. You have your answer. The terms for both sides are already out in the open.
