As has been rumoured for a while Ashley Giles has left Lancashire to take charge at Warwick. Great appointment and hopefully things will turn around. Seems to be a bit of a mess at the moment with a poor season and players leaving.

Venus came across as defeated and like he didn't know what to do to fix it. Slade sounds like he's got a list of things to work on and an idea on what to do. Of course we now have to wait and see if he can turn them around.

I think you could get temporary stands up pretty quick to bring it to around 10K but that would still need planning permission which as you say could take months if not years.

Sounds a bit more lively from us than in recent games.
