That's not what is being referred to. It has been proposed to change the lease but an email leaked from CCC states:

A bit of excitement is allowed on a day news like this comes out. We don't get much to be excited about! Think even the most enthusiastic poster realises this is a very long way from being a reality and there are hurdles that will have to be jumped.

That was boxing day, always gets an attendance bump. That was about 2K higher than any other home game. The vast majority were under 15K.

I would take mediocrity for a few years if it secures our long term future. We've been told by independent experts that staying at the Ricoh as tenants will put us, at best, towards the bottom of the championship. If this plan means the future is better than that then yes I would wait for it...

Build the infrastructure that will secure the clubs future. The 'have a punt' approach has never worked. And you're also assuming there's a pot of money waiting to be spent. Its unlikely the money that would be raised to build a new stadium would also be available to the club for the player budget.

Just shows the difference. You can be rubbish at that level these days and still be on a decent financial footing.

So what do you suggest? The Ricoh is gone. CCC have said there is no possible site for a new stadium within the city boundary. So we either stay at the Ricoh as tenants, move somewhere like the Butts or move out of the city. Nobody is saying lets start playing at the Butts as it is now next...

So what size stadium do we build? Remember the club saying they could have sold the stadium out more than one for the JPT game? What if we get Chelsea in the cup and could sell 100K, do we build a stadium big enough for that?

What are you actually complaining about? You started off having a dig that Fisher had said it would be under RBC (which can still be within 8 miles), to Fisher having said we couldn't build a new stadium in Coventry (which isn't what is being proposed). At no point, as far as I'm aware, has a...
