    Butts park arena?

Had a bit of a play around in photoshop putting some other stadiums into the space available. If the small park could be purchased and a few design tricks you could get a 30K plus stadium in. Don't think that's on the cards at all but if things start to move forward on this it might be worth...

    Butts park arena?

I must have missed the announcement that Man City had moved themselves and their ground to London.

That's not what is being referred to. It has been proposed to change the lease but an email leaked from CCC states:

Of course unless anyone thinks the Ricoh is being knocked down we could always play a game there should we get a big cup time and there be the demand.

I find it hard to believe that things like this and the deal with the CT to suppress stories comes out and nobody bats an eyelid. Fans of other clubs would be up in arms.

Pawn Stars and Storage Wars. I've lost whole weekends of my life to them!

    Butts park arena?

A bit of excitement is allowed on a day news like this comes out. We don't get much to be excited about! Think even the most enthusiastic poster realises this is a very long way from being a reality and there are hurdles that will have to be jumped.

That was boxing day, always gets an attendance bump. That was about 2K higher than any other home game. The vast majority were under 15K.

New ground or investment in the team

That's got nothing to do with the question you asked unless you've got a time machine and we can go back and purchase the Ricoh.

But you, and others, are already dismissing this out of hand before you see that information.

New ground or investment in the team

You must have a short memory. What you're suggesting is what many of our previous owners such as Richardson and Ranson did. That's how we've needed up in this mess!

New ground or investment in the team

I would take mediocrity for a few years if it secures our long term future. We've been told by independent experts that staying at the Ricoh as tenants will put us, at best, towards the bottom of the championship. If this plan means the future is better than that then yes I would wait for it...

New ground or investment in the team

Build the infrastructure that will secure the clubs future. The 'have a punt' approach has never worked. And you're also assuming there's a pot of money waiting to be spent. Its unlikely the money that would be raised to build a new stadium would also be available to the club for the player budget.

Just shows the difference. You can be rubbish at that level these days and still be on a decent financial footing.

    Butts park arena?

So what do you suggest? The Ricoh is gone. CCC have said there is no possible site for a new stadium within the city boundary. So we either stay at the Ricoh as tenants, move somewhere like the Butts or move out of the city. Nobody is saying lets start playing at the Butts as it is now next...

    Butts park arena?

So what size stadium do we build? Remember the club saying they could have sold the stadium out more than one for the JPT game? What if we get Chelsea in the cup and could sell 100K, do we build a stadium big enough for that?

    Butts park arena?

What are you actually complaining about? You started off having a dig that Fisher had said it would be under RBC (which can still be within 8 miles), to Fisher having said we couldn't build a new stadium in Coventry (which isn't what is being proposed). At no point, as far as I'm aware, has a...
