    Sisu bullying back-firing?

Lets work it through. CCFC buy Higgs 50%. So ACL is now owned 50% by CCC and 50% by CCFC. CCFC have a long term lease in place at £1.3m p.a. CCFC approach ACL and say we want to renegotiate to a lower rent and more revenue access. CCC are against this, how does CCFC owning 50% give them any...

    Brainstorm

There can't be many coming from that far away. There won't be that many pre-move Wasps fans in the area so we're looking at the 'just want to watch rugby' crowd. Past Hinckley / Nuneaton you're closer to Leicester Tigers, past Solihull you're closer to Worcester and past Rugby / Leamington...

    Brainstorm

You would think, if anything, it would increase opposition as we have recent experience of our club being taken away.

    Trust statement regarding the AHC

But it generates far more than £600K in player sales. Not to mention a good chunk of our squad are academy graduates. Lose our status and it will be harder to recruit players.

    Arsene after Vardy

And Everton after Koeman. Its a massive symptom of what is wrong with the game when you can win the PL and still struggle to hold onto your players. Its not like Real Madrid coming in. Same thing happened to Southampton a couple a years ago, a good season and their squad got ripped apart.

    Trust statement regarding the AHC

And if our players go elsewhere, like Sambou has, we get less compensation for being a lower grade academy. So it will cost more to run and we'll get less money back.

    season ticket sales

excellent news. at this rate we might even hit one of the discounts!

    Chris Anderson

I had to do a short course on the basics of contract law a few years ago. The first thing we were told is just because something is in a contract does not make it true or enforceable. Its the same principle here. He's given a soundbite, probably fed to him by a PR company, which those...

    Sisu bullying back-firing?

No the point he is making is that owning 50% of ACL was of little use to CCFC or to Wasps as they wouldn't have any authority to make any changes as neither side would own more than the other and therefore neither side would have a casting vote. So if, for example, we had purchased Higgs share...

    Chris Anderson

Tend to agree with this. When he came in he said he would look at all options. From what we know it looks like he's done that, decided what the club needs and set about trying to get it. You can't really blame him if ACL won't talk to him about a long term deal at the Ricoh and CSF suddenly pull...

USE IT OR LOSE IT !!

Filling the Ricoh is going to be a hell of a job, especially with how early in the summer the first game tends to be these days (and could be a midweek game). Given that Wasps refused to allow a JH memorial game at the Ricoh as part of preseason how about a Cov Legends v Fulham Legends charity...

If you could ask one question

I'd ask the head of the Council what they are doing to ensure there will still be a football club and academy in existence when SISU eventually leave.

Fisher: Butts Park Arena is our preffered option

Its a CT mistake isn't it?

USE IT OR LOSE IT !!

Can't really see any comments on this thread that should upset Simon Gilbert or Keith Perry. Would be nice if they could lend their support to securing the future of the football club.

    Sisu bullying back-firing?

Because other potential owners wanted ownership of the stadium, CCC weren't prepared to sell. Therefore we were left with one option, the only group who didn't want stadium ownership.

Its just a rehash of the SCG minutes isn't it?

    Curve Balls / 1001 ideas

The way things are looking our options are basically move to the Butts, move the other side of the city boundary or lose pretty much everything. At this point if we saw some concrete plans for an all in one stadium & academy facility not too far over the city boundary I'd be all for it...

The agreement for Wasps to move here / 2 years on

Its a bit odd that Wycombe didn't terminate Wasps lease when they kept on about moving back to London don't you think?

'We felt it was difficult to conclude on a long-term arrangement' - Wasps pull out of Ricoh Arena ta

Pretty easy really as they are both the same position. The first post you quote was me agreeing that things deteriorated when Anderson came in and tried to get deals done. The second post says the same. He tried to do a deal to stay at the Ricoh long term and got blocked by Wasps. He tried to...
