Do you want to discuss boring politics?

There are 3m millionaires. So just under 5% of the population. Which is why 10,000 doing something is an insignificant number.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

For anyone curious about the millionaires leaving stories in the Telegraph. https://taxjustice.net/press/millionaire-exodus-did-not-occur-study-reveals/

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

Im just glad I can no longer be forced against my will to live a nightmare while draining anything I’ve built for my family.

Everyone should pay more. We are woefully undertaxed as a country for what we expect from our public services.

Out of how many? What’s the baseline? The private school predictions were fine.

    Club finances

Yeah the club not being able to go bust was a far bigger concern than it going bust tbh.

Just say “I’m assessing foundational models as they release but generally so far I agree with the Apple paper” if they ask which Apple paper just scoff and walk off mumbling “filthy casual”. That should put a stop to it, or get you a job as Head of AI.

Sounds like a perfect case for an AI auto phone call answering service 🤔

    Things that annoy you

Sounds to me like you’ve got a concern with who owns the means of production. Having high productivity is a requirement of high wages but not the only thing. I think the god awful economy the last 15 years is also a thing, it’s not like companies are recording record profits. We’re just wet and...

    Club finances

It’s why I learned to stop caring. The game is fucked. We aren’t going to change that on our own. Clubs our size tend to find another buyer willing to have a go on the merry go round. Owners will make financial deals and hide money and the first we’ll know will be players not getting paid or...

    Things that annoy you

Slavery is the original automation. Actual automation basically made it obsolete. I say we were all subsistence farming but there were always grifters who managed to put themselves at the top of the pile and avoid it. They just became less important as we stopped being interchangeable lumps of...

    Things that annoy you

Yeah humanities are nice and all but not much time to think about them while you’re subsistence farming 16 hours a day. Automation allowed us to specialise through things like irrigation and tools. Then a few thousand years later the Industrial Revolution allowed us to specialise even further...

    Club finances

OK and how much capacity for losses do we have? All this stuff is hypothetical really. None of us spotted Sisus exit despite obsessing over the finances. The only person who knows how much the owner is willing to put up with is the owner. All we can do is enjoy the football (or not) really.

Not saying I agree but we tax loss making people.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I think you need to stop reading fantasy papers like the telegraph. There no exodus of the rich, and tax planning takes into account behavioural change, this isn’t the civil services or OBRs first day FFS

Is that just because the ground is full and we’re spending money? We don’t have a clue how secure we are in reality do we?

Not a govt bill I don’t think. Was a free vote on a backbencher bill wasn’t it? It’s been a cross party aim for years so pretty much the opposite of the BBB.
