Not a fan of this points thing they're bringing in or the plan for day / night tests.
The reason they aren't selling out tests is they've flooded the market. Late 80s / early 90s when I was a member at Warks you'd have 5 tests in the summer, 5 in the winter. Its non stop now.
Exactly, the Ricoh was too small when we played Chelsea in the cup and when we had the JPT final. Don't recall a clamour for it to be knocked down and a bigger stadium built.
A 25K stadium could easily mean 22,500 tickets for home fans, compared to 26,000 at the Ricoh. Not sure a difference of 3,500 equates to half the fanbase not being able to get tickets.
Not attacking. They say in the statement fans should be consulted. I'm a member, must have missed the email asking me what I thought about a potential move to the Butts.
Nobody is saying there won't be issues to resolve, there would be with any proposal. But that isn't the same thing as...
What if that isn't an option. What if the options are stay at the Ricoh as a lower end Championship team at best or move and be a top end Championship / lower end PL team?
Why would you dismiss out of hand an alternative to staying at the Ricoh?
Not too impressed with that to be honest. It doesn't make sense. They say don't go to the Butts as it wouldn't allow PL football ignoring the fact clubs with smaller stadiums are in the PL and we have zero chance of getting to the PL as tenants of Wasps.
It's odd that on here and social media...
In similar fashion to the ring road in Cov it was already there and to access the stadium you have to turn off onto a minor road.
And there's no car park either.
The key as always is the debt. Reports on the last accounts show a large debt but the reports on the sale say there's no debt. If that's correct then you're buying a club with a large fanbase who own their own ground in one of the biggest cities in the country.
There's huge potential there to...
Rough and ready but the site seems to be approx 8 acres, more if the adjoining park could be purchased. To compare the footprint of Millennium Stadium (74,500) is 9 acres, Bobby Dodd Stadium (55,000) is 8.75 acres.
