18th highest wage bill last season

Interesting to read. Although how did Norwich and Watford get so much Broadcast revenue

    Ref again

A degree is fine but it just seems like there’s an offside call constantly missed or incorrectly given. Wonder what the stats are, as probably just how it feels

    Lampard red card

Oh fairs I stand corrected thanks for that. So in reality he has an ear piece to Joe Edwards who just discuss with him and does what Lampard watches while he watches the clubs stream. Doesn’t sound that bad

    Ref again

I don’t man, unless the laws changed to match what Wenger wanted, I think I’d rather have it be as consistent as it can be especially with us playing such a high line atm.

    Lampard red card

No, not allowed in the technical area at all (not sure if allowed in the stadium).

    Ref again

First punt would be the 22/23 (Qatar World Cup?) added on time again. Following through with time wasting rules currently in place (Keeper holding on and players kicking away the ball). Semi-Automated offside technology. VAR is debatable because it’s clearly not great as it just adds another...

    Lampard red card

Telegraph article confirming Lampard’s not appealing it and he expects to be out for Hull.

    Championship thread 24/25!

Think he’s missed the highest amount of big chances in the league this season. Dont think it’ll be a huge difference for us tbh

Doesn’t have to be permanent, just think he’d be the right player for helping us with a low block

Haven’t they got the worst home form in the league?

On this point our rest defence is a 4-4-2 where you normally see Rudoni or Torp acting as the second striker ( EMC sometimes). This has been the case on our more attacking formations (3-4-2-1, 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3). Note, we also use the 4-5-1 but noticed the 4-4-2 more so To be honest, with how...

I do agree with you but interestingly we don’t really play down the middle. This was Sunderland.

I wouldn’t change shape just yet as a big strength of ours is our crossing and wouldn’t want to dampen that by asking our wingbacks to stay further back. Also depends on torp Just need imo to be a bit more unpredictable and less wasteful in possession.

Was a big advocate for Wright as the 9 and EMC on the left wing but doesn’t seem to play to Wright’s strengths especially as we can play quite direct and go to the striker and have them hold it up. His best work against Sunderland was due to the space behind their line which Pompy didn’t give us...

    Sheaf and Grimes

Early days in the two but not too concerned. Grimes doing what he’s always done in dropping deeper, but do think he needed to look for a riskier pass at times. With how vertical the midfield is, we often go wide and use the additional cm to support the wings, which I think Sheaf can do well...

Sure people will go over the rest the performance as a lot to be desired but my word Paterson take a fcking bow. Happy Collins had a decent game. Need to push on now but its all in our hands

Part of me thinks with how many direct balls we play down the middle, we’d be better to play Simms there and have Wright/EMC on the wing again. Either that or play the ball on the ground
