The agreement for Wasps to move here / 2 years on

Its a bit odd that Wycombe didn't terminate Wasps lease when they kept on about moving back to London don't you think?

'We felt it was difficult to conclude on a long-term arrangement' - Wasps pull out of Ricoh Arena ta

Pretty easy really as they are both the same position. The first post you quote was me agreeing that things deteriorated when Anderson came in and tried to get deals done. The second post says the same. He tried to do a deal to stay at the Ricoh long term and got blocked by Wasps. He tried to...

'We felt it was difficult to conclude on a long-term arrangement' - Wasps pull out of Ricoh Arena ta

Wouldn't agree with that. Wasps themselves say talks about a long term deal at the Ricoh were progressing until they called a halt to them. And Higgs laid a new pitch and discussions were taking place for the club to assist with the the increased delivery of community programs and a long term...

'We felt it was difficult to conclude on a long-term arrangement' - Wasps pull out of Ricoh Arena ta

Seems that way. Before nobody has really pushed to sort things. Anderson appears to have come in decided what needs to be done and tried to get on with it. The problems have occurred because when push came to shove nobody would commit to anything that would benefit the club.

Everton in transfer tussle with Newcastle United for teenage striker Bassala Sambou

Be interesting to see how that works out. He was moaning about not getting first team football, no chance of him getting near the first team anytime soon at Everton.

Coventry City managing director says it's 'difficult' not to feel club being forced out of Academy

Hasn't it been replaced and now they're going to rip it up to put a swimming pool in?

'We felt it was difficult to conclude on a long-term arrangement' - Wasps pull out of Ricoh Arena ta

They knew this was ongoing when they made the purchase. You would expect that they have protected themselves from any potential issues.

'We felt it was difficult to conclude on a long-term arrangement' - Wasps pull out of Ricoh Arena ta

Pompey sort of were. Their supporters trust own a large percentage but not a majority. To get the deal done the local council had to loan them millions to buy the stadium. AFC Wimbledon spring to mind.

'We felt it was difficult to conclude on a long-term arrangement' - Wasps pull out of Ricoh Arena ta

If I was concerned the rent wouldn't be paid I would put something in place such as guarantors. If my tenant was taking legal action against a third party not related to me I could't care less.

'We felt it was difficult to conclude on a long-term arrangement' - Wasps pull out of Ricoh Arena ta

I'll have some of whatever you've been drinking. We're about to get kicked out of the academy and our landlords are refusing to speak to us about extending our rental deal.

'We felt it was difficult to conclude on a long-term arrangement' - Wasps pull out of Ricoh Arena ta

No chance. This will just make them think they have more chance of a win in JR2. Their thinking will be if its a no hope case why so much pressure all of a sudden to drop it.

'We felt it was difficult to conclude on a long-term arrangement' - Wasps pull out of Ricoh Arena ta

Purely my opinion but at some point SISU will walk. Most probable way they will do that is to place us into administration. On the bright side we don't have much in the way of assets for any asset stripping. Problem is who will bid to take us out of admin? You're talking about a club that will...

'We felt it was difficult to conclude on a long-term arrangement' - Wasps pull out of Ricoh Arena ta

So now we have both CCC and Wasps basically trying to blackmail the club into dropping legal action. Makes you wonder if the JR2 case isn't stronger than we all think.

'We felt it was difficult to conclude on a long-term arrangement' - Wasps pull out of Ricoh Arena ta

Be surprised if he managed to keep a straight face coming out with that. So there we have it. By his own admission talks were going well and then Wasps pulled the plug. Can't get much clearer than that.

The next line was probably "we picked Higgs as it would do the most damage to the football club".

Coventry City managing director says it's 'difficult' not to feel club being forced out of Academy

AHC wanted £12K for repairs to maintenance equipment saying it was CCFCs responsibility. CCFC said it was there responsibility to do the maintenance but AHC had to supply the equipment. How we got into all these contracts where we paid rent but also had to maintain facilities for someone else...

    Trust statement regarding the AHC

Think we're getting a bit sidetracked here. We put in £500K a year and get the same in a grant. I suspect the amount it generates far outweighs the amount it costs. Its one of the few bright spots for the club and something we should desperately be looking to preserve.
