    Time for a trust statement

Do what other councils have done. CCC purchase HR, club pays an affordable rent. When purchase price has been paid back to CCC ownership passes back to the club.

    Euro 2016 big thread

How come when we play someone like Doncaster at the Ricoh and they bring less than 500 fans we have about 10 empty blocks between fans, netting and loads of police yet here they sit fans a couple of feet from each other with just a handful of stewards to control them?

WTF?! Even Less Chance Of Winning JPT

Used to get some decent crowds at HR for reserve games but that's back in the late 80s when teams didn't have such big squads and you'd regularly get 'names' appearing. Think it was only a quid to get in as well. If fans don't boycott we'll be stuck with it. What happens when you get Man City...

The only thing that has changed is there's more teams but that can't be it. So you have to look at something specific to France, the policing, stewarding and general organisation.

And the Czech's have just equalised with an injury time pen. Great decision from Clattenburg.

Croatians have kicked off in the ground. Loads of flares on the pitch and fighting amongst themselves.

    Unusual grounds

Obviously never happened as they had no money but Pompey came up with this ridiculous idea to build a new stadium actually in the harbour.

So they couldn't pay back a loan but could afford £1.3m a year in rent?

    Time for a trust statement

The best thing they could have done at that point is utilised the low cost lending they accessed, or rather claimed to have accessed before it became clear it was from council reserves, and lent the club the money to buy back HR. The council could have taken ownership as security and charged us...

If other teams pick up on that they'll have to bring in a new rule for time wasting. No idea how you'd word it but if they don't stamp that out it will get worse and worse. You'll end up with someone taking the ball to the corner with his teammates around him just standing there for 10 minutes!

    Simon Gilbert Announcement

He's got a point there. A lot of local papers now have very small teams on low wages. They don't have the time or resources to really dig into things. Obviously there's the odd exception but the standard of local paper journalism does seem to be on the decline. Think the CT is actually one of...

    Hope For Sky Blues Academy

That's part of the reason I'd like it on the table what CSF and Wasps can offer. Then everyone knows where they are. Also need to sort out the matter with the pool. Don't want to get all this sorted and then 12 months later it all starts again when they build that.

You could always mail Tim Fisher and ask him, he used to take his dog into work at the Ricoh!
