It does seem to imply the Butts was seen as a serious option. Be good if our local media could do some investigation into what happened there both in terms of what CCFC and CRFC had planned and why it was killed off by the lease owner.

Back to being the biggest club in Coventry?

That ones from months ago when they were talking about building a new state of the art training & leisure facility by the Ricoh. The one the CT denied had ever been mentioned when they announced they were moving into the Higgs. And that one is just bizarre, they want to build an indoor venue...

    Meeting planned for Wednesday!!

Its amazing when half the fanbase seem to have an inside contact none of our local media do!

    Low lights from yesterday

I sit in front of someone like that. Although now he seems to have added the occasional 'what's the point'.

    Luciano Becchio on trial

77 goals in 161 starts and 49 sub appearances. However has hardly played since signing for Norwich in Jan 2013 and has had injury problems.

    Luciano Becchio on trial

Amid all the doom and gloom we've got Becchio in on trial. Will be playing for the U23s today.

I can possibly see TM being a bit economical with the truth but wouldn't he do it to his advantage. Not make himself look incompetent. He's also given a fair bit of details on the failure of the summers transfer deal which would be odd if he was making it up.

And that will be the councils defence.

    Chris Anderson

Kieran seems to think its related to the Butts move. Were SISU pushing for that and Anderson pushing to stay at the Ricoh?

    Chris Anderson

Only thing I can think of that it could be is staying at the Ricoh long term.

    Back to the future

Suspect a big part of JR2 will be the fact that, according to CCC minutes, the lease extension was agreed at the same time as the sale of the share in ACL. SISU will likely make the argument that by selling ACL with an agreement to extend the lease past the lifetime of the building they have to...

    Chris Anderson

Bit worrying seeing as he probably knows more about the workings of the club than anyone on here On a lighter note I like the CT spin From nothing to report to as expected to this has been coming for a while!

    Chris Anderson

Probably the best thing he did was come in and say he was drawing a line in things and was going to look at all options rather than reciting the new ground mantra. What seems to have then happened is he's been unable to get a deal done to either stay at the Ricoh or keep the academy at the...

    Our gates

That's what they tried last season, put the ticket prices down but the crowds didn't increase enough to cover the lost revenue. Its where we hit a problem compared to other clubs. Other clubs can offset lost ticket revenue with other revenue streams that we don't get.

    Our gates

Think after last years balls up they haven't given a figure this year have they?

    Chris Anderson

To get SISU out there needs to be a viable exit strategy. At the moment the only thing I can think of is someone coming in who will offer them a figure they deem is acceptable, I expect somewhere in the region of £15-20m. Problem is why would anyone pay that, especially if they aren't a fan...
