    United Protest

It is far from uncommon for two organisations involved in legal action to also be doing business with each other.

Academy is moving to Cov as well. There was a lot of talk of at least one other local team taking legal action but they have now come to an agreement with Wasps, make of that what you will.

So before SISU turned up everything was going brilliantly?

    Sports England

Lets break it down. The application was assessed by Sport England against provision E5 which is basically that the benefit of the proposed development outweighs the detriment caused. So lets compare the two. Now: Netball courts Plans: Wasps car park Now: Outdoor pitches Plans: Wasps Pitch...

1 x Centre back off a flat back four...

I don't really see why we can't play 4 at the back with the players we have at the back. Its not like what we're doing is working. If 4 at the back is the plan going forward then just play it now with the players we have, at least the team will get used to playing that way.

    letter in todays cov telegraph

Really? Odd then that I used to be so critical of SISU, and only SISU, that I got called things like council lover and even at one point accused of working for them. Looking at the available information and deciding it is not all the fault of one group does not me you are happy with one...

That headmaster turning kids away due to uniform

This post could be applied to a lot of things these days. If I'd ever been sent home from school for trying to get away with wearing the wrong thing I'd be in big trouble. These days you've got the parents having a go at the school and getting as much media attention as possible.

Match Thread Millwall v Coventry Match Thread - Saturday 10th Sep

I must have missed the part where there was a property developer trying to buy the car parks at the Ricoh for a huge housing development that would mess up the clubs plans for expansion ;)

Questions over Coventry City's future met with wall of silence

They definitely need to keep pushing. Think they also need to expand the questioning of SISU. Even if there is going to be a new stadium its not going to be in place by the time the existing deal runs out so they also need to be pushed on what contingency they have for that.

More than likely. The council should also be insured against that type of payout.

    Sports England

The fact they opened it would indicate it is available for use wouldn't it, and that is the point. If CSF aren't running the facility properly is not really a consideration in calculating the available usage. There's 5 pitches currently, Wasps have stated previously that they will be taking all...

Questions over Coventry City's future met with wall of silence

This is more like it, shame this type of questioning didn't begin when Wasps were first mentioned. Says a lot if they will happily sanction the move but then take a head in the sand approach to the repercussions.

Match Thread Millwall v Coventry Match Thread - Saturday 10th Sep

Millwall having their own council related problems. Their council approved, against huge opposition, a compulsory purchase order for part of the land where their stadium is. Won't impact the stadium itself but other facilities and Millwall's future plans will be out the window now. All so the...

    Mowbray quote explains all....

He spoke about this on the radio. Said that when its Saturday - Tuesday - Saturday then you've only got time to prepare for the next match. I'm guessing the don't train the day after a game so they'd be off Sunday, in on a Monday doing prep for the Tuesday games, off Wednesday, in Thursday and...

Sport England green light for wasps training base at Higgs

What have SISU got to do with what Sport England have written? They were assessing against the E5 provision which is basically will what is planned provide a greater level of facilities for the public than what is current in place. Now its hard to check all the details as, despite Sport England...

    Toll Bar Island

its massively behind schedule as they did the work with the wrong sort of concrete which started falling apart straight away. they couldn't work out how to fix it so they basically built it again around the original structure!

Sport England green light for wasps training base at Higgs

About to go out so will post more later but reading Sport Englands response they have clearly been fed a load of spin by CCC and Wasps and have taken it in hook line and sinker. They're allowing the plans to go through with a vague possibility of things happening and no assurances. Have a read...
