So you're saying I shouldn't have booked my hotel for Wembley?

I like the elephant, shame the council are knocking it down.

    Legacy Fund Update

Has this years team photo been taken yet? One thing Pompey did was you could have a photo taken with you as part of the team photo. Can imagine you'd get some interest in something like that.

    Ricoh sponsorship

Think locals will pick up on the change eventually but to anyone outside Cov it will be the Ricoh, as you say everyone still refers to Bolton as the Reebok. One of the few things we managed to get right in ensuring the project didn't have a name that would stick prior to getting a sponsor.

    Hillary / US Election Thread

Anybody going to be staying up tonight to watch the coverage? I do like a bit of election coverage. Remember listening to R5 last time round and they played some of what was being broadcast on American talk radio. Unbelievable the BS they are allowed to broadcast over there.

    FA Cup draw

We also lost to them in a pre-season friendly when we were still in the top division and they were right down the other end of the league. I remember as I was working in Cambridge and used to go watch them play regularly but of course went in the away end for that game. Remember Telfer blazing a...

    Brexit/SISU

Work first started on that in March 2004, in May 2009 they decided to proceed with negotiations and it took until August 2014 to conclude negotiations. At that point in needed to be agreed by all the member states, the European Council and the European Parliament. Its still batting back and...

    Ricoh sponsorship

So hang on, CCFC's contribution to Wasps is negligible, they apparently don't need us there and their business plan works fine without us. But they aren't signing a multi-million pound naming rights deal as CCFC haven't agreed a long term deal to stay which will increase the value of the rights...

    New SISU Article.

That's the problem, its a business plan that relies on pumping millions in hoping for promotion, and even then tens of millions in loans from the owner have been written off, and then managing to stay up once there. Great if it works but not so good for all the other teams using the same plan...

    Legacy Fund Update

Have to say 43 is a very poor effort by our fans. You even get something for donating, if you choose to have a reward. Even if you don't want a reward you get a certificate of thanks emailed to you. Portsmouth got 5494 backers and they were giving rewards like a virtual square of the academy pitch.

Didn't have much interest in this but the trailer has done its job on me. Looks worth a watch.

The Walking Dead - Season 7

I haven't made it through last weeks yet. Might wait until the end of the series and see what people's thoughts are as to if it's worth sticking with.

The republicans who keep on about her emails might want to look at Bushs emails, oh hang on they can't as thousands of them mysteriously disappeared.

Strange that they put that in the accounts. Didn't think you were allowed to lie in the accounts but italia has been telling us for months the deal is done.

    New SISU Article.

Nobody is deflecting anything from SISU, merely pointing out that suggesting spending tens of millions you don't have in an attempt to gain promotion is not a sound business strategy. It may have got Southampton promoted but it will fail for more clubs than it will succeed leaving them with huge...

    New SISU Article.

FFS its not really that complicated. a) If every club in the championship accrues losses of ~£10m a year in an attempt to go up and only 3 can go up what happens to the others? It might seem a great business plan if it pays off, what if it doesn't? b) They haven't earned all the money back...

    New SISU Article.

That's the whole point. Things have to change so that clubs are forced to be self sufficient. That in itself will make fan ownership a viable prospect for many clubs. If you don't do it you have 21 clubs making that investment and failing to get promoted.

    New SISU Article.

We're not talking about how much clubs make in the PL, we all know they get millions off Sky. We're talking about living beyond your means in an attempt to get to the PL which obviously can't work for every club as there are only three promotion spots. That is being held up in the article as...
