Questions for Waggott and Fisher at the Trust open meeting

Which explains why CCFC haven't said anything. It seems CCC/ACL haven't informed them of anything if even who takes primacy hasn't been discussed.

Questions for Waggott and Fisher at the Trust open meeting

I wouldn't be so sure, Otis. Many would rather see the club fail that give anything to SISU. You can see by comments on here and the CT forum. There's genuine glee at the Wasps deal from quite a few. Saying that CCFC should have done this anyway, they don't need us to say "go on do it".

Seems an odd thing to do with the "civic asset", doesn't it? Sell the thing to a team with no historical ties to the City and who play a sport that isn't well supported in the City. CCFC fans in the main didn't support CCFC at Sixfields and neither did local Northampton residents. There's a...

No, I don't think SISU are the people for CCFC. Of course they are not. However, they are here and there's very little chance of someone coming in to take over. Now, that the Ricoh is going to another sports franchise then there'll be even less to attract future investors or bidders. SISU...

Exactly. If ACL don't need to sell then they shouldn't bide their time and then sell to the club. After all, that who the stadium was built for. It's a disgrace.

Looks nice. We should just go to Belfast as NW suggests. Nice for the people there, good for the City. No one would mind, it would just be business. And we'd have Cov United and Wasps to support.

    Nope. Selling HR did.

Nonsense. You miss the point. Fans boycotted because they felt it was wrong, nothing to do with temporary. I was weak, I gave in, there you go, but I still didn't think it was right or permanent.

Absolute bollocks. If you cared for "ccfc and nothing else" then your endorsement of Wasps, ACL and CCC wouldn't be so bloody obvious.

It's conveniently trotted out (both ways) when it backs up an argument. I don't think many believed it then or now.

I think you're right, they can't be. I think it's the ones on the CT forum with their "good ole ACL" type posts.

Sadly, I think he is. There seems to be a lot of "excitement" and high-fiving over this.

Eh? "never return", "plan of leaving the Ricoh was for 5 years". Is five years permanent then? It obviously way too long but it's not permanent.

You seem to be a little obsessed with my posts, but still. When I went to Sixfields (and I still make no apology for it), I was following MY team, the team I have supported for 40 years on a temporary basis. You, samccov and quite a few others are endorsing a permanent move for a rugby team...

Doesn't dispel anything. Of course, those instigating the move will say it's great. Similarly, I don't understand the outrage from some for moving to Sixfields now. As you, and quite a few others, seem to think moving a team 75 miles permanently is a good thing.

Well, that's OK then. As long as the owners are OK with it then nothing else really matters.

Yeah, 5K top probably. What was the Burton game? That was pretty low from what I remember. If people aren't going to turn up for a league match then a JPT won't bring them back. Unless it's a semi-final, of course...
