Rod Liddle article in Sunday Times today

There is very little sign of intelligence on that forum. Made the mistake of following that link to see what they were saying and ended up reading a couple of other threads. There's currently outrage as they believe rob9872 genuinely wants to blow up the Ricoh! To be honest I'm struggling to...

    St Andrews confirmed!

I don't think there is a plan to get back. I've posted that in a few threads already. But just because there's not a plan doesn't mean I suddenly start believing everything Fisher comes out with. As I've said elsewhere we'll only return if either Wasps do a complete 180 or we build a new...

I would guess it could become state aid if the lower rent meant ACL had to be bailed out by CCC. However you could easily argue that wasn't down to the rent and down to other aspects of the business. The biggest issue is someone would have to instigate the action. If CCC had said rent was £1 a...

Rod Liddle article in Sunday Times today

At the end of the day its not as simple as Wasps going bust. There's multiple companies and the lease is used as security on a huge loan. Exactly the kind of setup people were up in arms at the idea of SISU putting in place should the club ever own the stadium. In an ideal world Wasps...

Are we really back to the everything Tim Fisher says is 100% true routine? Thought we'd all moved past that.

Really? I can recall many people, myself included, saying they would happily join Wasps protests but none materialise. Can't remember them holding marches similar to the two we held or protesters outside the ground at every game. Not to say 100% of the fanbase was happy but they didn't exactly...

I had to check that wasn't a parody account. What an idiot. His thinking seems to be that selling ACL with a 250 year lease to Wasps at £6.3m (£25K a year if you choose to look at it that way) is definitely not state aid but charging CCFC less than £1.3m for 23 days a year would be state aid...

What is going on with the Tory leadership contest?

You'll be able to tell who the media want. Just keep an eye for the one who doesn't get exposed in the press.

How many honest, true and genuine Wasps fans have let it be known to their club they don’t agree with us bring kicked out? The overwhelming majority of comments I have seen have no issue with it, many are celebrating it.

When they moved here part of the justification was the claim that rugby fans aren’t attached to clubs the way football fans are and any who couldn’t travel would just go and watch another team. Was that a convenient lie?

    VAR

It was supposed to be for obvious errors, that’s not what it’s being used for. If every bit of contact in super slo mo is going to rule a goal out there won’t be many goals allowed. It’s not a non contact sport.

How is it a pro SISU article? About time they faced up to some facts.

What on earth has that got to do with the comments made by the trust regarding Wasps?

Where was that? I thought their line had consistently be the club wasn’t for sale.

Call to Arms first game of the season.

I would imagine they must do. How else do they get to the Ricoh? No trains, minimal busses. If you don’t live within walking distance there’s not much choice.

What are you on about, they’ve been completely respectful and haven’t plastered their logo everywhere. You’d hardly notice they’d moved in.

I wouldn’t have thought so unless you’re suggesting Birmingham’s ground staff aren’t up to the job? Imagine the role of our ground staff will be the same as it has been for years.

    A different point

We do have ground staff and they have their own twitter account at CCFCGrounds Seem to put a lot more work in than whoever has been responsible for the Ricoh pitches.
