No comment on Wasps being involved in the takeover?
Has anybody ever actually suggested that the Trust themselves would be taking over? I was always under the impression it was more that certain individuals on the trust board and people associated with them were pushing for the Hoffman...
Monumental bit of spin from the Telegraph to get this as their front page with what has gone on the last couple of days. Listened to the news on CWR and the start of Sport at 6 and not a mention.
Assume where they've put trusted news is supposed to be ironic.
I don't think anyone thinks otherwise do they? Certainly wouldn't expect SISU to sign up to something and then have Wasps walk away, they aren't that naive.
Are those black hooded rain jackets? Think they could be, will be getting one if they are.
Like the nice simple designs. Something you can actually wear without look like a FKW.
The ticketing website isn't great. They've used the Ricoh events company rather than a major company which also means they miss out on Godiva featuring in the mailshots the ticketing companies send out.
This is going to make the value of having a trading pitch drop, potential sponsorship drop...
We know that's the case. Take the meeting where they voted to sell to Wasps, no minutes, notes or record of any sort apparently exists. That sets huge alarm bells ringing for me.
Even if it wasn't regarding a situation that was deep in legal challenges I'd have thought you'd want every aspect...
One of the good things about Overson coming out and saying this is he has a level of credibility pretty much everyone else involved in this saga lacks. Be pretty hard for Wasps or the council, or even the likes of the Wasps forum members, to just dismiss what he has said.
I'd take it at face value. The CT spoke to him about the donation so he took the chance to point out he was no longer in the consortium as he'd seen people on line (presumably this forum) saying he was.
As crap at journalism as the telegraph are if someone tells you they've left the consortium...
Need to shift some tickets. They've sold 20,000 compared to an attendance of 115,000 last year.
Unless of course the idea is to kill it off claiming there is no longer a demand, not as if they haven't looked into stopping it in the past.
Sad that it takes Overson coming out and directly saying it before the Telegraph wake up to what is going on.
Certainly explains why Hoffman said the other day he’s not bidding again.
Maybe finally the Telegraph and CWR will wake up and actually do their jobs.
a) that looks shit, be very disappointed if that's what we end up with;
b) if you are in a position to see the kit before everyone else you'd have to be a bit of dick to leak it on social media knowing the club will want to do a reveal as they do every year.
