YouGov have published some of the breakdowns. Some interesting stuff in there. Not sure the breakdown of voting by education level is going to help silence the 'tory voters are stupid' brigade! How Britain voted in the 2019 general election | YouGov

    New Labour Leader

This is an issue that goes back to before Corbyn became leader. If the polling and research done over the years is to be believed a large number of people don't appear to vote in line with the policies they agree with. Thats not just saying people like Labour policies but won't vote for Corbyn...

You would think so but that doesn't explain the never ending stream of voters who moved from Labour to Conservative currently appearing on news programs saying they changed their allegiance due to things like the state of the NHS, bedroom tax, rise in food banks and homelessness, universal...

    General Election 2019 thread

You're missing the point. Should Labour, and for that matter every other party, set policy purely based on winning an election or should they based it on what the party members believe in and want the party to stand for? If those two things don't cross over should one be abandoned in favour of...

    New Labour Leader

I hoped the argument would be over and now Johnson has a huge majority he would just get on with it but it still seems to be dominating the news so I fear we've got many more months / years arguing over it yet. Isn't the percentage who voted for remain and / or 2nd ref parties greater than the...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

It's meaningless and just for show. If it comes down to the wire he can repeal this just as quickly as he can introduce it. Playing to the gallery.

Seems the public finances forecast that was due to be published before the election but was held back shows an additional £18.3bn in borrowing being needed this financial year. That increases borrowing for the year from £29.3bn to £47.6bn. Watchdog reveals £18bn hole in Boris Johnson’s UK budget

But the ideology is what shapes the policy. Unless you're trying to claim there is no difference between a Corbyn style Labour and and Blair style Labour. Moving from a Blair offering to a Corbyn offering isn't pushing around the edges in the direction you want, it's practically a 180. So there...

Expect those who wanted to 'take back control' and were outraged at the EU having unelected officials will be up in arms at this. Sure its in no way linked to her overseeing the investigation into the £100K Arcuri was given which cleared Johnson of any wrongdoing.

    Wasps downward spiral...

Could be a case that the idea is out there but the specifics are off. You'd have to think if it is being discussed in any meaningful way Wasps have to be a candidate given they're already shown they are willing to move halfway across the country. You could move them again with little resistance.

    General Election 2019 thread

At one point I hoped we might see the more centrist Conservative and Labour MPs move across to the Lib Dems and end up with 3 roughly equal parties. Seems there was too many egos involved for that to happen. Suspect if they had done that more might have followed, was always a tough sell to get...

Don't worry, we've got a Conservative West Midlands mayor. Sure everyone remembers him promising to end homelessness as soon as he was elected, wonder if he'll be mentioning that in his campaign literature for the May elections?
