    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Would be interested to know why you believe insurance companies are telling venues they are not covered for voluntary closure but would be covered for a government imposed closure if they are then, should the government impose that closure, going to turn round and say that isn't covered either.

Got to be an error hasn't it? Stock Exchange shows a 42% drop in value in a day.

    WASPS Interim Accounts 2019

Hda a quick look at their forum to see what they were saying about the finances and was amazed to see someone saying having us back would make no difference as we get all the revenue we generate. Amazes me how they have no idea of even the most basic issues.

My favourite are the people who tweet with a picture of empty shelves with a comment about Corbyn / Venezuela / Socialism seemingly oblivious to the fact he's not in charge.

Has anyone heard any mention of the homeless in all this? Its all well and good telling everyone to stay in but what about those that have nowhere to go?

And they're using language people don't understand. Think of your average Jeremy Kyle viewer sat on their sofa, that's who you've got to get the message across to.

Hoping today they actually formalise some of what they said yesterday regarding not going to events. Know a lot of venue owners and promoters from my days working in the music biz who are furious at the moment as they can't make insurance claims until that happens.

They need to take him out of the frontline. Never thought I'd say this but Andy Burnham is right. Just have one, qualified, person doing a daily briefing. Boris is the last person who should be doing it. He's spent years building up this jokey persona and can't just switch that off. The press...

    Coronavirus

With the schools can't they just shift the holidays around? Appreciate its inconvenient but isn't everything at the moment. If they took half term, easter and summer weeks off now you're pretty much up to the end of June. Buys you a bit of time and if things are no better by July the school...

TV series that should be repeated but never are.

Anyone remember Midnight Caller? Used to like that. And Manimal, which was complete shit in the 80s so god knows how bad it would look now. Had forgotten all about that.

TV series that should be repeated but never are.

They showed the first series, and made a big deal of it being the first time its been on in years, but haven't shown the second and don't seem to have any plans to show it. Bit weird.

    Wasps downward spiral...

Said before refinancing might not be as easy as people like to suggest. But now on top of several years of poor figures and the uncertainly around the damage Brexit could do economically, they have this to deal with. All this while the repayment date is getting closer and closer. Only 26 months...

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

Just a coincidence that the countries that were left off his travel ban were ones with Trump properties? Also a coincidence that there has been little testing in the US until Oscar Health got up to speed, the same Oscar health whose founder and major stockholder is Joshia Kushner, Jared's...

    WASPS Interim Accounts 2019

That must be another one of those imaginary stadiums as the Wasps fans keep insisting its impossible for anyone to build a new stadium in London.

    WASPS Interim Accounts 2019

Can't believe they are still falling for this shit. There's a new stadium literally 2 miles from their base in Twyford Avenue. Their owners claimed it wasn't an option as rugby wouldn't be allowed there yet, after multiple clubs were approached, London Irish will be playing there.

    75% rule

If all the games played were declared void wouldn't supporters be demanding refunds? You'd have essentially paid full price for a load of meaningless friendlies with tickets being sold on the basis it was a meaningful league game.
