What a shock... the trust "speak up"

Down to one meeting a year then. How? They won't say a word against them. Members are constantly asking them to pressure Wasps and they've done nothing. How exactly is their position relaxed? If they won't drop the indemnity that's it. But again raises the issue that Wasps can only be impacted...

Match Thread Coventry City v Bristol Rovers - Tuesday 14th January 2020

They're getting worse. Its bad enough making follow ups to their own stories from peoples comments now they're just lifting content.

    Things that annoy you

And me, think its pretty common these days.

How do we legitimise our voice?

How would you actually do it. Not everyone is up for re-election every year are they?

What a shock... the trust "speak up"

But the meetings are very infrequent these days, last one seems to have been 15th July (Key Points from the Open Discussion at the Sky Blue Trust AGM, 15th July, 2019 - see those points have all been addressed!), so the rest of the time its just the 4 or 5 people on the board. Not sure they ever...

Yes there is, the FSA. Their National Council includes former Trust secretary Roger Ellis.

What a shock... the trust "speak up"

I'm a member but as far as I'm aware these days the only way to be active is to turn up for one of their increasingly rare Monday evening meetings. Think they get about 20 people there. Besides that you're lucky to even get a email saying what they're up to let alone be asked for any input...

    Trust Poll

That's the only things that matter at the moment, can the complaint be dropped (everything we've seen to date suggests not) and will Wasp drop the indemnity requirement. anything else is a waste of time until that's covered off. Even if you believe a new stadium will be built we need to be back...

What a shock... the trust "speak up"

Its an absolutely ridiculous article as the only thing it doesn't mention is the one thing that needs to happen to get us back in Cov! They can't claim ignorance as they've had people repeatedly requesting they go after Wasps on the indemnity but they are just ignoring it. They even give a pat...

What a shock... the trust "speak up"

The two protests / marches in town were very good, although I wouldn't say they had much to do with a successful outcome. Last thing I can remember is raising some funding for the academy but I think that goes way back to when Hoffman and Elliot wanted to shut it down and might have been the...

    Trust Poll

This shows how little interest they have in what the fans actually thing. Grendel, for all the stick he gets, spent a fair amount of time collecting and collating data for them and they weren't interested, wouldn't even meet.

    Trust Poll

Yes, and I don't agree with their actions - haven't for a long time. But anytime a different option is voiced at one of their occasion meetings its all 'we'll take it onboard' etc and then just gets ignored while they carry on doing their own thing.

    CWR

They want their to be no criticism of Wasps or the council. What effect that has on the club doesn't bother them in the slightest.
  14. chiefdave

    CWR

What a joke. Refuse to tell their own members what they are up to and what happens in their meetings but demands transparency from others. Spot on. Couple of calls to CWR questioning Wasps and we've seen the social media accounts fire up and now the Trust. Was only a few days again Neil was...

If anyone thinks the Trust and Hoffman know what’s best for CCFC

Don't think he was ever a fan was he? Not sure its a coincidence that this all escalated on the Higgs Trust side after Derek Higgs sudden death. I can't imagine if he was still around he would have stood by while the club moved out and the stadium was sold to Wasps.

    Working to Become Financially Independent

How would you even do it though? Presumably you'd have to have a party with that as a manifesto pledge get in. Then I'm guessing a referendum, and I don't think anyone is keen for another one of those for a while. Then in the highly unlikely event enough people cared enough to vote against...

If anyone thinks the Trust and Hoffman know what’s best for CCFC

Are they now admitting they were trying to get him in then? Haven't they always denied that when it was obvious to everyone else.

That rings a bell, hadn't he been involved in dealing with him at another club or something along those lines.

Maybe he lost all his money playing poker with Dale Evans.

Couldn't make it up. Even at the time there were huge doubts about his finances IIRC, think it was said then that it was his Dad who had the money not him.
