The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Good news, our chums in Sunderland have been screwed over. Turns out the promises Johnson made when he was up there on the campaign trail aren't going to be kept throwing fresh doubt over Nissans future there.

    Wasps downward spiral...

According to the rugby fans at my work the other clubs refused to take players off them. As the league also wouldn't allow them to pay off players contracts to get them off the wage bill it was pretty much impossible for them to get under the cap in the period of time allowed.

    Wasps Again

Hard to believe they're the only club doing it, might be the most extreme example but there's no way the other clubs aren't trying to find ways around the cap. Theoretically is there anything to stop them now joining another league? If they joined Pro14 that could have a knock on effect to the...

4th Round vs Birmingham - "thank you" banner

Depends what it includes. £800K including match days costs, hospitality, car park etc isn’t too bad. £800K and then pay for everything else on top is very different. Always the problem when talking about stadium rents, it’s hardly ever comparing like with like.

    Parking at Birmingham Wheels

Wasn’t Wheels only ever a temporary thing until the council decided what they were doing there? Maybe it’s closing because that’s where our new ground will be!!!

    Indemnity Amount

He’s got mixed up with the EFL bond hasn’t he? Think that was £1m but doesn’t have to be paid unless we confirm we are never coming back to Cov so seems more like box ticking from the league.

4th Round vs Birmingham - "thank you" banner

Doesn’t the announcer normally welcome the away fans anyway? Just add it in there, quick round of applause and then get on with the match. Don’t think it needs more than that, wouldn’t object to some joint SOTV chants!

    Death List 2020

Watched them all again last year, still brilliant and pretty much everything on there still applies today.

    Saracens points deduction

Our head office (not in Cov) is full of rugby nuts. They say the other clubs can’t / won’t take the players. That means they either stay where they are or move abroad. Also said if they move abroad could weaken the national side as they tend to not select players who aren’t playing here - no...

    Saracens points deduction

Sure it’s a coincidence that this happens when a couple of the supposedly bigger name teams are in a relegation battle.

    Saracens points deduction

Aren't they asking for the impossible? The players will be under contract and it says any payment to terminate the contract will count towards the cap. How are they legally supposed to get rid of contracted players without paying them?

    Blues Game

That would include everyone who went to either Wembley appearance wouldn't it. Can't imagine there's many people who want to go who either aren't already registered or who don't know someone who is.

    Wednesday 10 Year Season Ticket

I've read it more than once but still don't really understand it but my gut feeling is this is a bad idea. They need a catchy name for it like Operation Premiership.

    Blues Game

Wolves v Man Utd seems to be on TV ever week at the moment! Its a self fulfilling prophecy. Sky and BT hype up games with the 'big' clubs massively hardly giving anyone else mention. Then they wonder why people only watch those games.

    New Labour Leader

This piece in the Independent, based on new polling, highlights a huge issue for Labour which is anything seems to be getting worse. The policies of the last election campaign get great polling results yet the same people say Labour should move away from those policies under a new leader...

    Arena railway station progressing

Was just reading an old article about the changes at station which said it was delayed and would now all open in 2017! When was the original opening date? How can you run so many years over on a project and get the budget so wrong?

What a shock... the trust "speak up"

Are there still vacancies? Couldn't we propose someone now and they'd be straight on if they follow the same process as previously. Also how many board members will be up for re-election next time round?

    Arena railway station progressing

Saw that, another well managed project. All that disruption near the station to build an underpass that they then blocked off claiming it wasn't needed until the new platform and now they're so far over budget there won't be another platform.

What a shock... the trust "speak up"

FFS, isn't that the same stuff that was in the Telegraph the other day. There's nothing new is there? Amazing how they can continually just outright ignore their membership.
