The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

People were interested until they found out the terms. You had to commit to a minimum of 3 months. 8 hour shifts 6 days a week in all weathers. Living on-site (you can be sent anywhere in the country) for which a deduction is made from your wage. Paid piece rate and a single 'wrong' pick in a...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Correct and at the same time the bill that passed through parliament this week allows our future trade deals to allow foreign countries access to the UK market without having to meet UK standards. This is why those in the industry are furious at the government. After all the promises they have...

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Would be interested to see a financial breakdown for a club such as Tranmere comparing a struggling season in L1 with a promotion chasing season in L2. May be wrong but I suspect the difference is not huge.

They'll open the pubs anyway. Had to collect some stuff for my parents and drop it off. Told them to stay in the house while I left it in the garden. Don't know why I bother. People out as if its a normal day, no social distancing being observed at all. Groups wandering round together as if...

Brilliant news coming in from New Zealand. They're lucky they're an island and so could prepare and protect their citizens. Total of 1,154 cases and 21 deaths. There are currently 21 active cases in the country, none of whom require hospital treatment.

Good news its starting up but very bad news that we don't have a working app ready. There was a senior chap involved in the track and trace testing on the IoW on the radio while I was driving who said they estimate that when collecting data manually rather than by app they miss around 75% of the...

Had the same. Ordered 4 things, selected the deliver them together option. 2 came one day, the other 2 the next day. All in individual packages.

    This is outrageous

Its clearly murder. The fact that in instances like this and that jogger who recently got hunted down and shot (Dad and son charged with murder of US black jogger) require public campaigns before changes are brought is as big an issue as the crimes themselves. As well as the guy who actually...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Combination of migrants, women and children. Changes in the law in the 1860s, first outlawing children under 8 being land workers followed by compulsory education up to the age of 12, led to a shortage of labour. The army was drafted in to help but when WW1 broke out they were no longer an...

The bags used to get delivered to our post office and they'd pick them up from there. Assumed it was the same everywhere. Between them and all the couriers for Amazon etc must be a huge environmental hit.

When did the van thing start. I've only noticed since I've been off on furlough. Now they pull up in a van, deliver to a few houses, then get back in a drive a bit further down the road. Sure it wasn't that long ago they used to carry round bags of mail.

Was just reading about a spike in South Korea but hopefully not a sign of a second wave, seems related to the nightclub outbreak. This caught my eye, kids going back to school there today, guessing we won't have a similar setup.

Emily Maitlis isn't holding back on Newsnight: "He made those who struggled to keep to the rules feel like fools and has allowed many more to assume they can now flout them. The prime minister knows all this and has chosen to ignore it." “We asked the government to come on the programme...

People need to take a step back and actually take this in. The police have had to tell people not to drive if they have problems with their vision due to the actions of the PMs sidekick who insists he has done nothing wrong. Its mental.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

If there's not time to play those games maybe we can just promote everyone and have 39 teams in the Championship. Makes about as much sense.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Play offs would go down as far as Bristol Rovers in 14th! So when we're short on time to finish the season we'd have a 12 team tournament for the play offs.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Why the last 3 seasons, why not 5 or 10? You'd end up with a huge tournament replacing the play offs followed by a season with extra teams in some divisions when you're likely to have less time to play it! Problem is if you start going down this road every club will put up different ways of...
