    Favourite Ever Concert ?

Was too young to see original Quo unfortunately but the reunion gigs at Hammersmith were pretty special. Amazing atmosphere and just something I never thought I'd get to see.

    Update from Dave Boddy

Football is light years behind other industries in capitalising on its existing customer base. I started going in 1986 and what's on offer today is practically identical to what was on offer then. You can either buy a 'normal' ticket, or go in corporate. The same old shit for sale in the club...

    Worst concert

Decendents at Shepherds Bush in 2011. Not the biggest fan to start off with, it was the ex-wife who wanted to go, but it was an absolute shambles. Singers voice was shot, he stormed off after a few songs. https://www.stereoboard.com/content/view/165099/9 I've worked on some pretty bad shows...

    Favourite Ever Concert ?

Its not gone, was in there a few months ago. You could open it back up easily. Would just need a quick coat of paint and general clean up and would be good to go. Why we have to suffer the god awful Academy at the former Dome nightclub when that building is stood empty is a mystery to me...

    Is HS2 Needed?

Improvements to the rail infrastructure in this country are massively needed but IMO this isn't the answer. Coventry is a prime example. Trash a load of countryside to run the line through it but won't stop here. Everytime you see politicians talking about it they talk about being 10 minutes...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Looks like there won't be spectators now. Johnson has pulled the plug on test events and cancelled plans to ease other restrictions. Boris Johnson Scraps Plan To Ease Some Lockdown Measures From August 1

    So now we know

Deadline to apply for bonds was 6th May, they were issued on 7th May. Telegraph report that the council had received the loan repayment is dated 13th May.

    New Stadium Announcement!!!!!!

Is that just the stadium build cost or does it include the land? They've also built over 900 homes, retain and a new town square so important to be sure we're looking at the right number.

    So now we know

Aren't you saying here the only time, going back decades, the relationship between the club and the council has been good is the period when SISU took over before they realised not owning the stadium and paying £1.3m a year rent was an issue.

    So now we know

It was literally being reported by the Telegraph and CWR as too close to call which way the vote would go heading into the meeting. Then there's a behind closed doors meeting with Wasps in attendance from which there is absolutely no details recorded, not a single note anywhere and suddenly its...

    So now we know

Its taken very little for the house of cards to start collapsing. Imagine if the CT and CWR had actually done some digging years ago.

    So now we know

The obvious thing here is that if the council haven't requested the indemnity Wasps are requiring on their behalf they will very quickly get a statement out reflecting this. Having gone to the trouble and expense of hiring PR companies to make themselves look like the good guys in this whole...

    9PM Junk Food Ad Ban

The watershed thing is presumably aimed at kids. How many kids are watching linear tv these days?

    So now we know

CCC won't appeal, they've spent years telling us how they're against them and how a judgement should be accepted ;)
  16. chiefdave

    So now we know

Could have a JR to find out :D Got to be something in it for Wasps otherwise they'd tell the council to do one who they asked for indemnity to be included as a condition of any future agreement between Wasps and CCFC.
  17. chiefdave

    So now we know

There seems to be very little wiggle room left for CCC. Will be interesting to see what they say next, if anything, as I'm struggling to see how they spin this one into being nothing to do with them or someone else's fault. Presumably somehow the indemnity CCC are insisting on reimburses Wasps...

    So now we know

Joking aside who is left in the 'but SISU' camp now? salop888, Linnell and his mate Neil?
  19. chiefdave

    So now we know

I've always assumed any future action would be along the lines of losses suffered due to CCC's actions. Would the 6 year time limit apply to that or would the clock start ticking if / when that verdict is delivered by the EC.
