    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Heard someone from New Scientist on the radio when I was driving home. Said pretty much the same. Appears we're pinning our hopes on a vaccine yet with what is involved with preparing a vaccine it would be a miracle if we have one available as quickly as 12 months from now. Said without a...

    Things that annoy you

I would think 'annoy' isn't anywhere near strong enough to the very justified reaction you would have had.

    George Floyd

State of this thread today. Amazed hill managed to stay as calm as he did, must have been absolutely raging. Does concern me that being against racism means you are now regarded as a raging leftie. Shouldn't being against racism be the default and those who think differently the ones regarded...

    Telegraph bullshit again

If that's there response I would suggest it is still in place. If Wasps had dropped that demand, which has been widely said to be the issue preventing us playing in Cov, they would make sure it made its way to the press, even if it was via a 'leak'.

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

What's depressing me is seeing how other countries have dealt with this and now seem to be coming out the other side. We seem as clueless as we were on day one and are just randomly opening things and hoping for the best.

Plus we never know how deals are strutted in terms of when we will actually get the money and how much is in add-ons. When people do these things they also tend to miss the fact you have to pay fees for loans these days and agent fees.

What's everyone watching while on 'lockdown'?

Now I'm really intrigued. Robins, Viveash, Dabo, Westbrooke, Biamou, Godden, Hyam and Kelly are all in there!

    Sky Blue Trust Letter

Don't think they've even officially announced he's not on the board let alone a reason. We only found out when CJ mentioned it in a post on here.

Our players genuinely care for the club

Jodi Jones deserves a shout out here. Would have been very easy for him to withdraw from the community side of things with two serious injuries but he seems to be really involved. Just this week there was a Dad on twitter who had bought his daughter a kit for her birthday but couldn't get Jones...

    Broad gate 6pm

They didn't take the names of the chaps who allegedly had the knife let alone their prints so unless they're already in the system what are they going to match them against?

Free agents, Take your pick !

Doesn't seem to be much info about Keogh's injury other than it was an ACL. The crash was in September and the BBC reported he could be out for 15 months. Seems he's been doing rehab back in Ireland with the FAI after Derby sacked him. There's a report of him doing fitness work in November but...

What's everyone watching while on 'lockdown'?

Staged on iplayer is excellent. Basically David Tennant and Michael Sheen on a zoom call in lockdown 'rehearsing' a show. Only 6 episodes at around 15 minutes each so easy to get through. Hope there will be more. Wasn't expecting this in the credits. Edit: Zain Westbrooke is in there as well...

No, reporting of that figure has been 'temporarily paused to ensure consistent reporting' for weeks now. If they can't come up with a way to fiddle the figures they just don't let you have any information at all

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Its perfect for them. When it all goes tits up they can blame it on coronavirus. And as we can see they're already setting a narrative that any second wave is the fault of the public not the government.

Tim Fisher on TalkSport at 11am

Think its pretty obvious the Telegraph have been prompted by Wasps. They've run multiple stories now on a Ricoh return. Went on the Telegraph site last night. There was three stories linked to CCFC but amazingly when we've just won promotion none of them were positive. One was the council...

    Fisher on Talksport

Its a dangerous game when people start throwing rent figures around as you're rarely comparing like with like. As an example if you look at a headline figure of £100K at the Ricoh (even through any new deal was unlikely to be at that figure) or £1m at St Andrews it makes the Ricoh deal look...
