    Lockdown Days Out

Cliff Lakes in Tamworth might be an easier option than a beach. West Mids Safari Park and the Black Country Museum are a couple of the big ones locally that haven’t been mentioned.

    Cov Vs Swindon

Channels run on a shoestring. They quite often don’t get round to updating the listings by the time things are on. Last night I watched tbc v tbc!

    Fixtures

The Rangers and Celtic games I assume already have a feed produced for their own stations so Prem Sports can buy the rights for next to nothing. This one seems a bit more random.

    All purpose cricket thread

Thought it was game over when Stokes went but now it looks like a close finish. Was a risky strategy to just go for it and start hitting out, could easily have led to a couple of quick wickets, but it’s got us back in the game.

Great test but I think that brush of Stokes glove might be the end of any hope of a win.

Has your opinion of Birmingham changed?

Birmingham Council are to blame. They loaned the club £20m towards the huge amount of work they had done a few years ago and wanted the name changed to promote the city. After fans went nuts over it one of the councillors said he couldn’t understand why people were upset!

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Seems theatres and venues have been told no audiences allowed until 2021 at the earliest and the DCMS won’t even be carrying out further assessments on the viability of audiences returning until the end of the year.

    Season ticket refunds

Would be interesting to know how many EFL clubs have given automatic refunds.

    Council funding for Ricoh Refurb

Are you thinking of Stuart Cain? Joined Wasps as Commercial Director in Sep 2017, made Chief Exec in one of their other rounds of changes at the top in Aug 2019 and left in May.

    Council funding for Ricoh Refurb

Changes at the top again. What’s this now, the third or fourth time they’ve made changes at the management / executive level to try and get them out of the shit?

    Lets get this right

Not much above what they already pay for the rights I wouldn’t have thought. Despite the distinct lack of anything else to show they’re not even bothering to put half the games on TV, they’ll be available on the BT Sport app!

    Lets get this right

You forgot to mention they’ve also just been handed £5m of taxpayers money.

    Council funding for Ricoh Refurb

A lot of companies are acting like the rules suddenly don’t apply due to coronavirus. It’s blatant these positions will be required when lockdown ends. You can be certain the hope is they don’t find another job, which let’s face It is a reasonable assumption at the moment, and will then come...

    Council funding for Ricoh Refurb

Much as I hate Wasps sad to see yet more redundancies there. Seems to be a round of ‘restructuring’ every few months. Recognise the name, got a feeling she’s is, or rather was, their marketing manager. Surely one of the last positions you’d make redundant. Would be interesting to dig into the...

On what planet is Ian Duncan Smith a mate of remainers?

    Council funding for Ricoh Refurb

If you believe that makes a difference perhaps you can explain how the Conservative councillor voting to sell sell the Ricoh to Wasps has helped our situation?

    Council funding for Ricoh Refurb

"The Conservative party in Coventry has a policy of supporting Coventry City Football Club", is that a different Conservative party to the one which voted to sell Wasps the Ricoh?

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

We won't be far behind when furlough ends. I'm still off and had a look at what I'd qualify for in terms of benefits if the worst comes to the worst. I've got a relatively small mortgage, £560 a month, I'd get £410 a month on universal credit. Bizarrely if I was still renting and not a home...

    Sky Blue Trust AGM

Seems like one step forward ten steps back for the trust. Couple of recent statements that have made people a bit more optimistic things might be changing then they go and have an AGM that isn't broadcast, ridiculous in the current situation, and bring in someone like Bird.

Council meeting for Mark and I

IMO as much as we'd all like to know about things that went on in the past its of limited benefit in terms of moving things forward. Would rather persistent questioning to get an answer on key points than go in with a list of 50 questions, think that lets them brush aside the ones they don't...
