Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

Its shambolic. They're turning up to court with zero evidence or even a plausible reason to believe there's an issue. No wonder the courts are immediately dismissing the cases.

    PS5

Nothing at all suspicious seeing people on social media tracking their PS5 deliveries only to see the status change to missing a few minutes after being passed to delivery drivers. Seems particular common at Yodel.

    Wasps rescued again

The one upside of this is its in the form of loans. Although would anybody be surprised if they were quietly written off a few years down the loan. Some of the sports on there, such as ice hockey, struggle to break even at the best of times let alone repay loans. This annoys me, "the most...

    Wasps rescued again

Everything you've said there applies just as much to Premiership Rugby as it does the EFL. Wasps have tens of millions in debt yet are still paying out for top level players. What happened to the CVC money? Millions in additional funding it was claimed was ringfenced so as not to just be paid...

    Wasps rescued again

Can we then presume the government will use the same logic elsewhere and tell Amazon to dish out money to small independent retailers who are struggling? Or would that suggestion be laughed at and labelled ridiculous?

    Wasps rescued again

Its a disgrace but doesn't even come as a surprise anymore. Wasps will get two handouts as well as netball is on the list. How can you on the one hand give out millions to a supposed top level elite sport that talks about rivalling the Premier League, including the self proclaimed richest club...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Who remembers the good old days when we were all taking the piss out of Trumps Space Force? Johnson is set to announce spending £4billion a year on Space Command.

That's from SAGE isn't it? For every one day of loser restrictions an extra 5 days of tighter restrictions.

Fans back in stadia by Xmas?

Think we've got an answer why fans back in stadiums is suddenly on the agenda for the government. No money for football or cricket but hundreds of millions in handouts for rugby union, rugby league, horse racing, netball etc

Totally agree. Most will take the 'easy' option of giving you a few pills and hoping that sorts things. Its a short term v long term issue. The best option is intensive one on one treatment which in the short term is expensive. The people in charge of the budgets are only concerned with...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Mental health services have been absoltluy decimated in the last 10 years. My ex-wife working in that area for the NHS and it was really shocking how deep the cuts were. They were left unable to provide an adequate service and there was a clear increase in deaths and other key metrics but they...

Think figures on suicides have a six month plus delay as every case has to be referred to the coroner for investigation. Could be even longer at the moment. Probably the best indication is the load on mental health services. Not sure how easy those figures are to get.

    Oh Jeremy Corbyn

Not sure its that brave. Corbyn has regularly voted against he whip hasn't he? Seems a rather convenient way to avoid any problems if and when he votes against Starmers wishes. The brave call would have been to kick him out of the party.

    Chris Chilton

Obviously if there's an issue it needs to be investigated but where do you stop? Ban heading as the rate of dementia is higher among footballers than the general population? So by the same logic do you ban tackles as I would say the rate of broken legs is higher in players. Also find it odd...

Championship will have five subs from end of November...

Watford brought on Deeney, Chalobah (signed from Chelsea for £5m rising to £7m) and Ngakia (signed from West Ham on a free). Junqueira de Jesus (signed for £2m from Fluminense), Quina (signed from West Ham for £1m) and Sierralta (signed from Udinese) were unused subs. I'm not sure us being...

Not at all. But I think the science should have led the way. Obviously we put ourselves if a difficult position to start off with by locking down late the first time round. But once the numbers started dropping opening things up was fine. Not sure I'd have let people jet off on holiday, that...

    ACDC New Album

I didn't bother with the Axl Rose thing either. To be honest something was a bit off at Wembley the tour before. But of course it later emerged that Johnson couldn't hear. Will definitely be going when they announce dates for this album. You never know when it'll be the last chance to see them...
