Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

Isn't that a worse case scenario for the Republicans? He could potentially take a decent chunk of their vote but it will have zero impact on Democat voters.

    Don't know about you lot....

We lost away from home to a side in the top 6. While I of course wanted us to get a result it was hardly a 6-pointer consigning us to certain relegation.

    Mental Health

Its not just schools. My ex-wife had exactly the same thing in the NHS. When Cameron got in, having said there would be no top down reorganisation, guess what happened! The staff knew it was a danger to patients and they wouldn't be able to provide the required level of care with the changes...

Fingers crossed they can bring more vaccination centres online before we get to the second doses. My doctors are getting through 800 - 900 people a day and are already onto the over 70s group which they're booking in for this Friday and Saturday. No idea what the numbers are for each group but...

    All purpose cricket thread

Games are 21st, 23rd and 26th May next year (postponed from this year) at the VRA Stadium. Grounds only a couple of miles from the airport. Probably cheaper to stay near the ground and you're only about 15 minutes by tram away from the centre.

    All purpose cricket thread

Will have to catch up with the highlights. Between cricket and ice hockey everything I want to watch is on in the middle of the night! Was looking at the England schedule last night. They've got 3 ODIs against Netherlands in Amsterdam, all at the same ground. Looks lovely, tempted to make a...

    Wasps downward spiral...

Somehow the rugby authorities seem to manage to make the incompetents at the FA and EFL look good! They've cut funding to the lower leagues (was that before or after the goverment gave them millions?) and are now moaning that if clubs go down to those lower leagues they'll get less money...

Derby unable to pay players wages

No points deduction for Pompey first time round in 1998. 9 points in 2010. Nothing when the parent company went into admin in 2011, Southampton fans weren't happy as they got a points deduction for the same thing. 10 points in 2012. They were all seperate administrations though, don't think they...

Not sure Djokovic is really in a position to be telling others how they should manage covid restrictions given how the tournament he put on went.

Self entitled pricks. They knew the situation when they went there. The fact that there's people in the group testing posting shows they're absolutely right to have the quarantine in place.

Was alegedely first recommended to the government in February last year, by March even Patel was calling for the borders to be closed with the press reporting she got slapped down by No 10. Even the Daily Mail seemed up for it, perhaps not a surprise they didn't want to let foreigners in! This...

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

These idiots have posted everything they were doing online, going to be some of the easiest convictions ever. Can't see Trump pardoning them, as mad as he is that would be him admitting they were acting on his instruction which would blow any defence he makes of his impeachment out of the water...

    Richard Keogh

I'd forgotten he was at MK Dons to be honest. Is he fit to play or still recovering? Can't see there being much to this rumour.

Another thing that seems to be ignored is that those who get in it and then 'recover' potentially have permeant lung and / or heart damage. We simply don't know how that is going to play out in the years to come. Might be nothing, hopefully isn't, but not sure its something that can just be...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Was just going to post this. Over 70s seem to be getting used interchangeably with at risk and they're massively different groups, albeit with some overlap. The first phase priority group for vaccination is based on who is more at risk and that's everyone over 50 plus staff working in care...

    Hilsner loaned out

That's exactly why he'll have been loaned out. Not played for ages so needs to get his fitness back up to speed. Saying a player who hasn't made it onto the pitch by the halfway point of the season isn't going to make it here is hardly going out on a limb. Its also a very different statement to...

Derby unable to pay players wages

Unless something is done to make teams spend within their means I don't see how we can really look much higher than bottom third of the Championship at best. Staying in the division for any extended period of time is probably an overachievement. If you look at recent seasons and the losses...

Thought one of the advantages of the Cambridge vaccine was it could be easily stored. Why would they just chuck it away? And even if it can't be stored surely pretty easy to have a reserve list of people who will turn up at short notice. The vaccination centre for my doctors is about 5 minutes...
