Did anything ever happen about those old tweets that someone dragged up?

    Hughton sacked...could MR be a target ?

Why on earth would he go there? If you assume Prem clubs aren't offering jobs to Championship managers that leaves a very small number of Championship clubs where you could argue he'd be better off than being here. I could see him being tempted by someone like Stoke or Fulham but they aren't...

I get the impression that a lot of people who are complaining about data being held digitally or who has access to their data aren't really that concerned about those things. Don't recall this outcry when our NHS data was being opened up for sale to third parties for example. Seems similar to...

On the list of issues I have with Sepalla and SISU mixing up aspiring & aspirational and Premiership & Premier League come pretty low on the list.

Its not even that is it? Says they've spoken to her at the Warwick Uni event so not even a proper interview. Be surprised if there's any new detail about anything.

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

I think the issue is that its always been thought the numbers will rise in the winter. We currently have 8,413 hospitalisations compared to 843 this time last year. Same story with ICU, currently 1,056, last year 92. We need hospitalisations to be at a level where the NHS can manage them...

That's the target. If we get to something similar to what we had with H1N1, couple of weeks at home and a few pills to take, that would be a best case scenario.

If it is that will be interesting to see how they get round the issue of the bonds, which are due to mature in 8 months time and will need re-financing. Not keen on the club getting lumbered with part of that debt.

Doing better than Fisher. Didn't he get a pint and / or chair chucked at him when he tried going for a drink with supporters?

Really encouraging figures for those who are at least 3 weeks post 2nd jab. Out of 51,281 covid deaths this year, up to July 2, only 458 were people who had received 2 doses at least 21 days previously. And of them only 59 were not in the CEV category, that's just 0.1% of deaths. Maybe Nick...

Had a visit to the hospital yesterday to see a senior respiratory consultant after over 2 years of waiting. Asked about covid and if particular if I was wrong to be feeling anixious when everyone else seems to be acting like nothing ever happened. To be honest I was hoping for a 'if you're...

Realistically as an absolute minimum we need to be seeing detailed plans and for a planning application to be imminent. Even then I think most of us won't believe it until they start actually building something.

Didn't Israel get rid of vaccine passports and masks due to a high vaccination rate only to see cases shoot up followed by hospitalisations and deaths which led to vaccine passports and masks being reintroduced?

When flu numbers shot up one year due to H1N1 (2009?) didn't we do exactly that? Not the same as lockdown now as it wasn't the same number of people but I remember getting something (certain it wasn't flu) around that time and you weren't even allowed to go to the doctors, they literally...

No idea mate. A stadium seems so unlikely given their history and the cost involved but I don't see what else it could be or why the Uni would have a development plan for the whole area and be happy to leave a gap for a stadium. They must think its happening and you'd assume they've got more to...
