    Callum O'Hare Replacement

Palmer doesn’t have enough regular end product to be factored in as a regular starter - talented though he is. O’Hare will be off so will need replacing. I imagine we’ll dig someone out of Scandinavia or mainland Europe.

    Our best 11

Eccles is consistently good for us. His input gets overlooked as he wasn’t a signing. For me he’s not far behind Torp.

    Exciting times for all skyblues

Exciting indeed. Really enjoying a few years of being a winning team after years and years of survival mode.

    Transfer Rumour Ellis Simms

Great for Simms to get a couple of goals. Hope he goes on to be a club legend. And the finish yesterday indicated there is a natural footballer in there. But let’s not get carried away, it’s an upturn from an average starting point.

    Our best 11

Agree with that team. I’d have Bidwell for Dasilva. I also think Eccles is close to getting in for Torp

Match Thread Stoke City - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 17th Feb

Well that’s a good win at a difficult place. Makes the point at Plymouth look good now. I actually thought Eccles was our mom. He seemed to be everywhere. Really pleased with the Simms goal - that’s the natural footballing style we’ve been after. Thomas now also settling and putting in the displays.

    Uber for Matt?

Goddens record stands up to scrutiny. No doubt about it. But records are constructed over a period of time. Godden has been awful this season. Early on he was anonymous but chipping in with goals. Now he’s just anonymous. He’ll get game time as we can’t play our best front three every game. But...

    Plymouth Ratings

Yes, and we had a CB in midfield with another CM who has only been in the country 2 minutes. Our left back was in the front three and our RB is out on his feet. And unfortunately Godden is currently a passenger.

Match Thread Plymouth (A)- Wednesday 14th Feb

Depends what you want from Simms. For me tonight he worked extremely hard which always goes down well but actually is the least you should get. He was lucky with the goal - but obviously he scores so you can’t be too critical. The bottom line is he is our best option in that role.

    Transfer Rumour Haji Wright

    Big impact again tonight

    Plymouth Ratings

Those ratings are frankly ridiculous. We’re away at a team with a very good home record. I’d say 8 for Torp, Simms and Kitching. 7’s for everyone else with a 5 for Godden and MVE

Match Thread Plymouth (A)- Wednesday 14th Feb

Shouldn’t underestimate how good they are at home. That’s a good point. We look tired down our right side. Godden just isn’t up to it. Wright, Simms, Saka is out front three but we can’t play them every game. I’d rather just see the raw pace of Tavares rather than Godden. What a find Torp is...

    Wright - Simms - Sakamoto

I think that is our best front three. With Godden and Palmer in the squad it’s ok for this year.

Transfer Rumour Trialist in U21 game

I think there were three trialists on the team sheet I saw. Pretty sure they were Udogie, Clarke and Bobb.

    Play Off Race '24 thread

In terms of the pressure this is a breeze. The real pressure is the scrap at the other end - as we all well know! Take 3 draws tonight.

    Strengths of our team

Core of the team. Collins, Kitching, Thomas, Sheaf, Eccles, Sakamoto, Wright. Wouldn’t swap for any in the division.

    Transfer Rumour Haji Wright

What’s the issue with Wright? Great player for me. Brings goals, threat and link play.

    Torp or Hamer?

Hamer has a track record. Torp has potential. Torp looks a great find.

    Millwall ratings

Why is that biased? I support Da Silva as he wears Sky Blue. But it’s ridiculous to say he wasn’t poor defensively today. Second half was better for him defensively - mainly because the ball was rarely in our half. There’s nowhere for him to hide in a flat 4.
