    In Defence

Thomas and Kitching are our best defensive pairing but Thomas distribution has been lacking. There seems to be a school of thought that is anti Kitching but for me he’s a nailed on starter.

Too many COOKS spoil the broth

We’ve no idea what the new coaches are adding or otherwise. Why pretend otherwise

    Early days but basics lacking

I am baffled by the obsession of playing centre halves in pairings based on being left or right footed. At CH is doesn’t matter. You never hear it with CM’s. For me our strongest CB pairing is Binks and Kitching.

    Summer transfer window 2024

As well as sell on values of talent we have we also still have Gyokeres and Hamer sell ons in the background. But the question stands - if you aren’t going to break wage structures the amount of cash you have is less of a factor

    Summer transfer window 2024

Not sure about that. I’d rather see Andrews get some game time. Kelly was a long way off the pace.

Ah yes, forgot to mention the other two games. Two wins of course.

Can it really be that every game we get something from we were either lucky or playing reserves???

It’s not been piss poor though has it. We were excellent against Oxford and OK v Bristol and for 45 minutes yesterday. Could be better of course but “it’s all been piss poor” is just lazy.

Really? I thought we played some good stuff v Oxford. Beyond pitiful is ridiculous

You’ll find most teams miss their best players. You’ll also note we have picked up 4 points, not lost all 4

The meltdown is predictable. Many can’t understand why we can’t simply win every game and sign whoever we want. We’ve had a disappointing loss v Stoke, a good home win, a very good point at Bristol and a below par performance yesterday. The games we’ve lost have been 1-0. You constantly need to...

Agree, it wasn’t our best game. That’s football though isn’t it? I’m sure we’ve all been following us for long enough to appreciate it’s never straightforward and can never be as a marketeer would have you believe.

Of course they are. What do you expect them to say “come and buy a ticket, we’ll be utter shite”.

No-one is saying yesterday was great. Everyone can see we could have done with a midfielder. But, for crying out loud, we’re 4 points from 4 games. Our best player is yet to play. From some of the bilge on here you’d think we’d had 4 straight losses. It’s not happy clapping - just need some balance.

I don’t think we’ve regressed as a team. Where there has been a massive difference is expectation. We are playing in the biggest dogfight league possibly in the world. We’ve spent a few quid. We had an outstanding season two seasons ago. Suddenly we’re being recognised as a team that should “do...

Makes no difference at all. You’re obviously as invested as the rest of us.

Why not? Being in the ground makes no difference. I am a ST holder and it makes no difference. Despair is not something anyone should be feeling.

They’ve tried to get it. That’s very, very obvious. It’s not some sort of disaster zone in there with who we have.

    the issues

We were exactly the same at this point last year. Then we got better.

    the issues

Look at it another way. We’ve lost no-one from midfield (certainly in the area being discussed) so we have exactly the same amount of depth we had before. It’s not even a conversation if Sheaf is fit.
