    These next fixtures

On the way in. He told me I'd get a £50 fine or something similar if I parked there.

    Best 2 sky blues teams....

I'd like to have 40 best teams, one for each season from 1975

    RIP John Bradbury

He served me when I bought my copy of Gangsters, I played in a band during those years and knew him slightly.

Joe Cole & Bigi in talks about perm deals

It would be nice for Cole to spend some time with Madders; however I fear he'll be gone in January as a permanent player at least. However I think Lameiras; Thomas; Sambou and Stevenson will also benefit.

Ryan Kent to (actually) be recalled

All he needs to do is grow up a little bit, he plays like a kid: show-boating rather than creating for the team. If he learns to use his skill to draw defenders and then makes the killer pass to a team mate in space he'll do well. Until that day he's of no use to any team.

Ryan Kent to (actually) be recalled

Glad to see the back of him. He's all fur coat and no knickers (borrowed from Big Ron I believe about Nick Barnby).

    Peter Ramage

It's a good job you didn't write "If you don't calm down I'll call you an arrogant prick"... because that would have been a threat.

Official January transfer window for CCFC

Thomas is injured isn't he? Believe this would rule out him leaving.

    Ryan Kent

I don't know why. You just know that it'll be a throw in or similar within 5 seconds of him getting the ball. I think he's presently a really poor player - it doesn't matter how you concede possession, whether it's passing to them or dribbling for 5 seconds beforehand.

    Ryan Kent

It's not likely at this point, I agree. However it's not like we are miles away from Gills and hence I don't think league position would be a deal-breaker.

Arsenal and Liverpool in race to sign James Maddison (Independent)

He's better than Wilson was at his age. However Wilson has now realised his potential by proving he can score in the Premiership. Whilst I personally believe that the risk is low for an Arsenal etc. (even if he doesn't cut it at a very top club I'm sure he will make an above-average Prem...

What's on your Christmas day menu

As I don't eat meat I have never had an adrenaline rush. What's it like?

What's on your Christmas day menu

Then I am blessed, as we are all veggies. We have two omnivores staying with us this year so I had to buy some turkey slices yesterday. Must be 25 years since the last time we had meat in our basket.

Nut roast with all the trimmings as ever for us.

Best and worst ever Christmas present you have been given

When I was 16 and in the Lower Sixth my Aunt bought me a toy plane on wheels with one of those kinetic clockwork motors that allow it to roll on its own for 10 feet and make a funny noise. Two years earlier I'd have been insulted but by then I just found it funny.

Arsenal and Liverpool in race to sign James Maddison (Independent)

It was only a matter of time. The fact that Arsenal are looking, who have a great track record of making these kind of purchases work, is confirmation of what we always knew: he's going to be a household name. I'd be happier with something closer to the Walcott/Oxlade-Chamberlain money though.
