    All-purpose tennis thread

She was on fire today, and a great win for Norrie as well. Not so much Boulter, never got going at all.

Given what they cover there can't really be anything can there. Sounds like an easy answer to avoid public sight of the minutes leading to questions they have no answer for.

The mega-bucks people have got accountants to shove their money in places like the Caymans, changing ISA rules will have a negligible impact on them. Bet a fair chunk of the money in ISA comes from people inheriting.

If they can't find anyone more competent than Reeves then we've got big problems.

Not really buying into the idea that the ISA changes are a wealth tax. Pretty sure when most people refer to a wealth tax they're thinking of the 1% and billionaires, not regular workers trying to put a few quid away. Anyway, went hunting for some stats, not sure I'd be targeting people earing...

Sure we'll be told its all part of some brilliant plan to win the next election, that's normally what we get. Seems to be an increasing number of Westminster journalists reporting that questions are being asked of how tenable Reeves continuing in the role of chancellor is. Would not be at all...

How did the plans ever get signed off as safe when there's not enough room for anything near a capacity crowd? They need to look at extending the concourse out, there's room to do it apart from the side I'm on which would be fucked as there's the hotel, exhibition hall etc behind it. Can't...

This winds me up more than it should. I'm not the only one where I sit, which is in the West Stand, who has completely given up on trying to get anything at half time. You have to leave before the end of the half and then still miss the start of the second half. It shouldn't be that difficult...

Thats obviously great news but slightly concerned they might decided to make do with Wilson until then and subsequently rush Dovin back.

The start of an obsession with music. I don't even want to think how much I've spent on that obsession over the years.

Thanks mate, not much chance of him getting better. We're in a very slow cycle of basically waiting for him to die while he has zero quality of life. Now into year 4 of 3 months to live, 6 months max. Think the whole system is designed to make people give up. You wait months, if not years, for...

Its great news that there's not so little crime in this country there's time to investigate things like this. We're not far off arresting people for thought crimes.

Who was Manager when you first started supporting Coventry City ?

George and John for me. Started going in 86 so after that first season I had a few decades of things going downhill 😂

They close ranks over everything and make it impossible to get information. When my Dad went into hospital, which was peak covid, he went in with a no-resus order. As it was peak covid we couldn't visit but the first couple of days we spoke to him on the phone and then there was a sudden...

Who was in goal the furst game you saw ?

Oggy for me. Arsenal at home Aug 86. My memories are we won and there was only about 10K there. Unthinkable now that playing Arsenal in the top division would have a crowd like that.

    season ticket sales

Exactly. I don't think there can really be any complaints. People know its going up, if you don't want to risk an increase buy in the early bird!

Can't get investment into UK businesses so they want people to stick there money in stocks & shares ISAs, which won't be part of the change, rather than savings ISAs. Of course if people wanted to do that they would do it already. Some people prefer to know their money is safe.
